After all the struggles vs Gio, the offense really turned it around only to see the pitching blow up. Sox just need to find a way to keep getting people on for Rios.

Flowers is going to lead the league in strikeouts looking. He has a terrible tendency to take 2 strike pitches down the plate for strike 3 or chase 2 strike pitches off the plate.

BTW, coming into tonight, the Sox had 10 less walks than any other AL team and 29th overall.

Too many mistakes being left over the plate/inner half tonight. Really poor pitching effort by the Sox.

Sox swept the Nationals 3 years ago, and it's incredible to see how much better this Nats team is than the team from 3 years ago. Credit to Rizzo for building a powerhouse.

Peavy throwing batting practice now. Sox really seem to pitch inside an awful lot this season.
