  1. So Brewers and Marlins got swept over the weekend. Gonna be a lot more available players on the market than there might have been 5 days ago.
  2. QUOTE (flavum @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 08:12 PM) Memo to Kenny: DON'T DO ANYTHING STUPID :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy
  3. QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 09:11 PM) Please come back Mr Danks. Sorry, but it's on the rest of the team to rebound. Even if Danks returns this year, it's going to be at least a month. At that point, the standings will be more clear.
  4. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 09:08 PM) Good job, good effort. Beckham really screwed us today...multiple times at the plate. Huh? He batted once representing the tying run. So did PK and Rios, and they both K'd easily. This game was all on Mr. Perfect.
  5. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 09:00 PM) GB hitting is bulls***. We got 3 guys who can play 2nd. Just pathetic...the 23rd, 24th and 25th outs of the game made by Danks, Flowers and Beckham while AJ sits on the bench
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 08:57 PM) so this road trip turned out to be 2-1, 1-3 and 0-3 for 3-7? Wow. And we're 1.5 out suddenly? All of a sudden it's crap for the White Sox again. Didn't know that games ended after 8 innings
  7. Extremely impressed by Veal so far. Septimo definitely going to get sent down, it seems.
  8. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 08:50 PM) Kinda reminds me of last year's manager. It's his first year managing. No one ever told him that you're supposed to return to the bench after the ASB
  9. Dotel just embarrassed our hitters. AJ should be batting for Beckham to start the 9th.
  10. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 08:47 PM) Surprised we didn't go to AJ and Viciedo instead of the AAA ballplayers in Danks and T Flo +1
  11. Dotel making it look way too easy. Gotta get at least one runner on so Dunn can face Valverde.
  12. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 07:28 PM) It's all speculation at this point, Konerko apparently is saying he feels fine. Well if he feels 100%, then someone needs to tell him that the Sox don't need him swinging like an opposite field slap hitter.
  13. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 07:25 PM) Pushing Santiago a bit too hard when he hasn't been stretched out... Yep, hell of an effort by him. Septimo is gonna get sent down it would seem.
  14. BTW, Konerko has one extra base hit in July (a weak double down the first base line)
  15. Gotta hold them and then hope to get a bloop and a blast.
  16. Over the last six weeks, Hudson and Escobar have more clutch hits than Konerko
  17. Another reason to put Rios in 3rd spot is to avoid the LOOGY coming in to face ADA, Youk and Dunn
  18. QUOTE (TheCut87 @ Jul 22, 2012 -> 07:54 PM) once again you didn't pay the guy to hit for average. Everyone knows when adam dunn comes to the plate he is going to do 1 of 3 things....walk, HR or K. He has never been a person to hit for average but as long as he is hitting HRs, driving people in, and getting on base I can take a low batting average. That has never been his thing, no reason we should assume he is going to do that here. But he can feel free to hit higher than .200 in a Sox uniform
