  1. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 01:40 AM) MY biggest complaint about Ventura is he doesn't use the bench nearly enough, especially the kids. I do think he should get Danks a start tomorrow maybe. Hard to get too mad about it, as the bench has been just terrible this season. Flowers probably should have been starting yesterday instead of AJ, but Ventura is a believer in benching the starting catcher the day game after a night game.
  2. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 01:39 AM) If our team tanks then maybe we should look at acquiring some catching prospects that could start eventually. Tyler Flowers is an ease out everytime he steps up to bat. I still feel like if AJ's not back next year, we'll bring in Hawk's favorite, K. Suzuki
  3. 5 really good at bats in a row for Alexei now
  4. Flowers is 0 for last 13 with 8 strikeouts. He's also 3-28 vs RHP on the season.
  5. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 01:35 AM) Wow Tyler Flowers you suck. Yet some still think he deserves to start next year. He has a terrible eye at the plate, as he takes way too many strikes.
  6. Swing the bat! What a bad hitter Flowers is
  7. This pitcher is terrible, yet pretty weak swings against him so far.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 12:23 AM) And a leadoff double.. Twins always been a brutal match-up for him with all their lefties.
  9. QUOTE (Knackattack @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 12:21 AM) 3. Rios 4. AJ 5. Konerko 6. Dunn ADA, Beckham, Rios, Konerko, Dunn, Youk, AJP, Viciedo, Ramirez
  10. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 27, 2012 -> 01:18 AM) 7 plus era score some runs. Sox haven't scored in the first inning in a very long time.
  11. I dread watching Dunn/PK bat. Dunn has no concept of the strike zone right now. The sooner Rios is put into the 3rd spot, the better.
  12. I said this the other day, but if the Brewers trade Greinke, it seems very unlikely they'd want the main prize coming back for him being a corner hitting outfielder.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 03:11 AM) In 4 of the last 6 and 5 out of the last 8 games the Sox have scored 1 run or less. 3 of those games went extra innings. BBGW. Yeah, this is quite the stretch of not just a slumping offense, but an offense that is making it nearly impossible to win games. Something has to be done to break up Dunn/Konerko, as well as having Rios/AJ/Viciedo/Alexei batting in succession. This offense has got to pick it up soon, as you can't expect pitchers to give up 0 runs when facing Yankees and Rangers.
  14. QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 04:09 AM) Damn did he hang that one to Dayan. Dayan is trying so hard to hit the inside pitch that he isn't outside pitches AND he still isn't hitting the inside pitch He is who he is. Incredibly streaky hitter that just so happens to be in a funk when Dunn and Konerko also are.
  15. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 02:59 AM) I bet Heath Bell is available. He looks so heavy out there.
  16. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 03:57 AM) So I guess next in line for Kenny to fix may be bullpen help It sounds like it is...rumors a few weeks ago is he wants another veteran bullpen arm.
  17. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 03:51 AM) I can't think of one thing we did good today. Defensive play, terrible. Pitching, awful. Offense, horrid. Alexei swung the bat great and Youkilis appeared to be healthy
  18. Goodness PK, he can't turn on anything at all. Danks/Escobar at 3-4 might have a better chance of contributing right now than Dunn/Konerko
  19. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 03:43 AM) Lol Dunn what was that swing? Just ridiculous he was even in the lineup. The invisible bat is back for him, he needs to get it going soon
  20. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 03:37 AM) I wouldnt give him up for something that wouldnt be a big acquisition. However, he shouldnt be off limits. Well, if that's the criteria, then everyone but Sale is fair game
  21. Very nice play by Youkilis over there
  22. QUOTE (Baron @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 02:32 AM) Hey but some people on here wouldnt trade Nate Jones. I wouldn't unless it's for a big piece for the future.
  23. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jun 26, 2012 -> 02:31 AM) we manage to score our one run and the Twins get it right back. Broken record it seems That would explain why our pitchers didn't give up runs on Friday (until the 10th) and Sunday
