Jakemeister vs Royals in "Jake N Bake"
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 12:48 AM) How would you like to see Hudson in LF? Goes to show you just how worthless Hudson is on this roster. Heck, I'd take Lillibridge over him because at least he can be used to run.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 12:47 AM) Danks, I assume. You obviously lose power, but you gain speed/defense/average. Not totally against it. Danks doesn't exactly hit the ball hard. He's so much better as a 8th/9th inning replacement player.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 01:46 AM) Miggy getting REAL close to 100 RBI already. He's just awesome. For as good as Prince is, I'd still take my chances with him over Cabrera.

No problem with Viciedo playing against LHP. He just needs to get some confidence at the plate.

Miguel Cabrera making a run for MVP. 4-2 Tigers, thanks Yanks. The depth of the Tigers lineup is pretty awesome right now, with Dirks batting 9th for them.

Perfect situation for Viciedo to contribute, and his struggles continue.

QUOTE (2nd_city_saint787 @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 01:34 AM) Whens the last time Adam got a day off?? Looks like he needs one. Problem is with ADA and Youk being out, it's an extremely thin bench.

It seems like Dunn's bat speed is really awful right now. Got to get him going again, as that average is headed for below .200.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 8, 2012 -> 12:23 AM) Our first two guys in the lineup don't even have OBPs above .300. Have fun hitting with no one on Dunn and Paulie. Yep, no one on

2012 AL Central Catch-All thread
So far on the MLB Network broadcast of Tigers/Yankees, they've said that Porcello was drafted in the 27th round and that the ball flies out of Yankee Stadium to left center field.

Jakemeister vs Royals in "Jake N Bake"
Looks like Tigers are catching the Yankees at a good time, as their offense looks very flat. Granderson has a lot of homers this year, but the rest of his numbers are awful.

Return of an All-Star: Sale vs Royals
YES!! Another great use of the change-up.

And of course, he can't elevate the 0-2 fastball. Everything is at the same eye level way too often. Hosmer scares the crap out of me here.

Return of an All-Star: Sale vs Royals
Yikes, got away with a meatball of a slider.

Be a great time for a change-up in the dirt.

Darn, bad time for an Alexei error.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 03:21 AM) How do you know that? The option isn't something the Sox have to pick up. Thats like saying why would Peavy sign for less then his option amount. If the market is less and I think with Youk he wants to play somewhere that he is comfortable (and he's fit in nicely) and most teams are going to be leary about going long-term/big money with him since there are injury concerns (Based upon the past couple years). 13M/yr is more then he'd get on the open market. At most I think he'd get 9-10M. If the Sox decline the option and he hits the open market, you'd have to think he'd possibly get more money than that if he finishes strong.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 03:19 AM) I think Youk is back, but it isn't like they have to pick up his option. I think they'll sign him to a 1yr deal with an option for a 2nd year at somewhere like 6-8M per. Why would he do that though and make less in 2 years than he could in one?
