QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 10:38 PM) Good thing omogrosso didn't get the call He also got shelled in AAA the other day.

Farmer and DJ were suggesting that the opposition has the scouting report for our hitters with RISP and that the Sox hitters have failed to adjust to it.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 10:59 PM) Matt Harvey has a no-hitter through 6 in Minnesota. Might be the best young pitcher in baseball

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 10:09 PM) Looking forward to reading how tough mccalister was today If the Angels lose a few more, I have a feeling this place is going to become sciosciatalk.com

Tigers offense going off on B. Anderson. I know they're only 5-5, but the top 4 in the Tigers offense is insane.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 09:05 PM) How many pitches can I throw right down the middle of the plate at the Cuban Batter before he swings and misses? Mark Buehrle can't get here soon enough to salvage Viciedo's stats.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 09:02 PM) It actually hit the wall first, then bounced down off his glove. A play that probably should have been made though, but it happens on the road when you're inexperienced and everything's going wrong that can go wrong, seemingly. Viciedo and the inexperience excuse is getting tiresome. He played a full season in LF last year.

Hey, what a shock, the pitcher who's nasty against lefties gets the lefty hitter out.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 09:00 PM) Remember that year the Sox went on the road for 10 games and lost them all? And returned home to 12k in attendance and wanted to know why fans won't support them?

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 08:59 PM) I'd say something about being frustrated, but...really nothing left to say about this team right now. This is a bad team right now. They flat out weren't prepared coming out of ST.

Way to pitch to the righty with a lefty on deck and an open base.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 08:58 PM) Fly ball to the wall, bounced off of Viciedo's glove after he stood waiting for it for like 5 seconds. Haha

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 08:57 PM) Lulz at that. ?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 08:54 PM) Maybe he should bunt more? How dare you

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 08:52 PM) So, basically exactly what people wanted him to do? Swing earlier, put the ball in play, stop swinging for the fences every time? And to those people, I say that's a bad idea. The scary thing with Dunn's struggles is that he's hitting around .150 and it's been almost entirely against RHP. Considering how many players in our core lineup really struggle vs RHP, he needs to be a much bigger force.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 08:50 PM) Well Dunn is consistent. 1 for his last 18, and of those 17 outs, only 3 Ks

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 09:45 PM) nice pitch Big out for him in this game

Well, I guess they'll just make him a closer for a week again Whatever the plan was in Spring Training, it doesn't seem like our starters built up enough arm strength.

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 09:36 PM) Why is Sale's velocity down so much, its start #3 of the season... +1

Went back and looked at the pitch selection in the 1st inning...why are you throwing a 3-2 change-up with 2 outs and no one one to their worst hitter in Raburn?

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 09:28 PM) He is the future. Of the Long Island Ducks

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 09:28 PM) Flowers is totally locked in right now. Here's a question...if Flowers totally flops this year, how do the Sox acquire a catcher for next season? It would seem trading for someone would have to be the way to go.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 09:20 PM) Sale looked so good for 2 batters, then suddenly...tie game. Our starters seem to enjoy giving up runs after our offense scores. The next progression in Sale's game has to come in preventing the long ball to righties.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 09:10 PM) HOW ON EARTH DID THE PARK HOLD THAT BALL? I assume it was close to going out?

QUOTE (Marty34 @ Apr 13, 2013 -> 03:53 PM) I don't think Ventura is a good game manager, but that's not what this team needs at this point. They are more rebuilding than contending and last year Ventura showed he is able to create an atmosphere that allows players to play to their potential. Figuring out what they have is goal #1 this year. I love this post
