  1. Very nice AB by Rios. This should be Fukudome here
  2. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:39 PM) The MLB should just allow Hawk to make the all star lineups haha. Carlos Gomez... Melky Cabrera... Jeff Francouer... Kurt Suzuki... Randy Ruiz Andrew Miller
  3. Sox hitters have looked all series like they've never seen an offspeed pitch. Quintero's just killing the Sox with his pitch selection. Reminds me of Mauer a few years ago when he'd always go to offspeed pitches in typical fastball counts.
  4. This bullpen has struggled for a long time of getting strike 3 on hitters. Of Thornton's last 5 innings, he gave up the go-ahead run in 3 of them.
  5. Thornton's issue isn't his stuff, it's that he's not elevating pitches out of the zone when he gets two strikes. Very similar to what we saw from Sale in the first inning yesterday.
  6. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:22 PM) According to this year's BP, USCF has gone from hitter's haven to exactly neutral. All the empty seats in the bleachers must cause the wind to blow in
  7. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:20 PM) If Paulie isn't on fire, the Sox offense is offensive. IIRC, very few homers at home with men on base
  8. Bottom of their order doing their job today.
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:13 PM) The problem is not the stuff as much as the fact that he just seems to swing at everything with the same exact swing. There doesn't seem to be any recognition for pitch location. Agreed, he swings over the top of nearly every fastball he's able to make contact with.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:12 PM) Matt Thornton I hate your face 6 million for a s***ty set-up man
  11. Do you think Ventura has any clue that Ohman is actually our best reliever against lefties?
  12. Matt Thornton absolutely sucks this year. Not sure why Humber was pulled to face the weak hitting Dyson.
  13. Gotta do a better job of blocking the ball there.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2012 -> 09:05 PM) Viciedo struggling to start the year was literally the easiest thing you could predict coming into this year about this team. +1
  15. Sox hitters continue to be fooled by 3-2 breaking pitches in this series. PK just seems a bit off right now
  16. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 13, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) Sox remain offensively challenged at home. Lot of hard hit outs tonight. Just need to find some gaps or clear the fences.
  17. Flowers did a great job of selling the foul tip catch there!
  18. Sox leaving way too many people on base today. Morel's looked much better the last two nights.
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2012 -> 07:48 PM) Wilson Ramos tore an ACL AJ make sense for them?
  20. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:53 AM) No ground gained, no ground lost If Quintero hit that ball 5 more feet, the view of tonight would have been much worse. Just one of those game...time for Lillibridge to carry the team to a win tomorrow.
  21. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 13, 2012 -> 03:45 AM) They have a yard sale every other Thursday morning. They sell off 2005 memorabilia...I've heard there are people that still feel like it was yesterday :)
  22. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 13, 2012 -> 03:42 AM) 11.00 plus era it's not like he had 1 bad outing. He has had a rough year so far He's also fresh off the DL, so if his ribcage area was causing him to struggle, then he's had time to heal.
  23. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 13, 2012 -> 02:36 AM) 9.00 and 11.00 ERA's and nada! Come on, that's like Royals fans being excited cause they had 3 hits in an inning off of a pitcher with a 2.25 ERA coming into tonight. Holland is a big time reliever.
