  1. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ May 12, 2012 -> 02:04 AM) I am so pleased to be watching the Sox on my new 40" Tv in HD even with a recent detached retina procedure. Oh man, glad to hear you're ok
  2. Shocked to hear that there are still bleacher tickets available for the Sox games at Wrigley next week.
  3. Goodness, hell of a catch by Gordon.
  4. So caulfield, was that Beckham stat about fastballs saying he's hit well against fastballs or hit poorly?
  5. Real nice jump there by De Aza.
  6. QUOTE (flavum @ May 11, 2012 -> 10:07 PM) I like it. Selfishly, I'd rather have Sale need TJS than to see him in the bullpen the next five years. He was drafted as a starter. He wants to start. Let him start, and see what happens. Going back to last week, they should have shut him down for two weeks. But whatever. Fresh start tomorrow. And hopefully this makes Reed the full-time closer
  7. That was actually one of the best articles about the Sale issue I've seen. I like seeing actual discussion about the type of pitches he's throwing, etc.
  8. Well played game all around for the Sox. Makes tomorrow day off pretty sweet.
  9. Sox miss Verlander, Weaver and Garza in upcoming series next week. Do get CJ Wilson and Dempster.
  10. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 10, 2012 -> 03:27 AM) Have to get Viciedo going somehow. Seemed he was getting over the hump and now he's trending backwards again. Indians starting pitchers bad match-up for him, as most of them rely on their fastball it seems. I think facing a soft-tossing lefty is just what Viciedo needs to get going again.
  11. So Peavy and Dempster to start against each other in the All-Star Game?
  12. Alexei's best night at the plate all season.
  13. You have to wonder if some managers are hesitant to pull their starters with big leads after the Lance Lynn game the other day?
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 10, 2012 -> 02:02 AM) No specific reason, but whatever they're doing aisnt working, and there has o be a deadline drawn. This is worse than anything we saw from him last year. Well said
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 10, 2012 -> 02:53 AM) Helluva sharp line drive there for an out. So I saw that you started to suggest that Morel might need to go back down to AAA to fix his swing. Any particular reason for the change in opinion? You have to wonder if they might consider putting him on the DL for back soreness.
  16. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ May 10, 2012 -> 02:29 AM) We should platoon him because of stuff and reasons and things .416 OBP vs RHP, .200 vs LHP
  17. Beckham's made a lot of improvements this month. I think we forgot how much he was struggling to even hit the ball out of the infield during April
  18. BTW, I think To Be Announced is going to get overworked in our series vs KC.
  19. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 10, 2012 -> 02:11 AM) And here comes the rain. I don't see much on the radar. Is it supposed to get bad?
  20. It's awesome getting to watch De Aza and Dunn just destroy RHP this year. This would be a real good night to let Peavy go 6 and not push him pass the 100 pitch mark.
  21. QUOTE (ptatc @ May 9, 2012 -> 10:12 PM) If it is truly muscular it makes all the sense in the world. Throwing 20 pitches 3 times per week will not fatigue the muscle as much as 100 pitches at one time. Mechanically it fewer times throwing the slider with fatigued muscles. Awesome stuff, thank you
  22. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 9, 2012 -> 08:20 PM) In the bottom of the 7th none the less. Real dumb move. The cubs starters are amazing right now. Especially if you project Zambrano in the rotation instead of Volstad. Any idea who the Sox will face next weekend?
