  1. This Tampa lineup without Longoria and Joyce is terrible. I'll be happy if they split with the Indians this weekend.

If other teams value Mitchell as an above average prospect, he's easily our #1 trade chip.
  3. After his first AB today, Luke Scott is 0 for last 37
  4. Choo and Austin Jackson have been monsters in the leadoff spot this year for their teams. It's nice that ADA has done so well in the same spot of the lineup.
  5. I was really impressed with the effort the Sox put into getting votes for Peavy. Seems like a really good week for the chemistry in the clubhouse.
  6. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 10:30 PM) And the Javy trade, and the Freddy trade, and the Danks trade, and the Quentin trade... Actual good prospects were given up in those trades though.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 11:22 PM) He got it right this time. A lot of us KW haters have been dying for a trade like this where the Sox DO NOT GIVE UP our good prospects for a player like Youk and merely ship two stiffs like Lilly and Stewart off the current roster for said player. Is it that difficult? This trade is like trades other teams make and I applaud Kenny for finally making a trade where he doesn't overpay with our good prospects. If Kenny keeps this up, his approval rating will go up and up. Like the Bartolo Colon trade?
  8. Quintana's been just awesome!
  9. Youk! Can't believe how fast the last few innings went, as I was expecting game to still be in the 8th.
  10. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 08:41 PM) It was pretty hot yesterday too though, that can't be it 1pm heat vs 6pm heat = huge difference
  11. I'm not advocating going out and getting someone who's used to starting to be the back-up catcher. Just a move like when KW got Ramon Castro would be perfect. Getting a back-up catcher that can hit LHP well would help some of our LHP-hitting difficulties.
  12. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 08:29 PM) 79 minutes, 6 innings, and Tyler Flowers is now the antichrist. #onlyonsoxtalk. 1 for last 22 will do that
  13. QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 08:17 PM) Flowers lets team down again................he may not be around next month
  14. QUOTE (Cerbaho-WG @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 08:16 PM) I'd really to get a decent backup catcher at the deadline. Flowers is brutal. Completely agree
  15. Terrible, Sox really need to find a new back-up catcher
  16. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 07:04 PM) I wonder if the Sox plan on scoring today? Seems like the Sox are really struggling against LHP. They desperately need Viciedo to get going this weekend, as they'll be facing 3 more LHP.
  17. QUOTE (balfanman @ Jul 5, 2012 -> 07:53 PM) Yes, but not this bad. In fact, i think that he had streaks where he was decent. But there aren't too many hitters that are going to play once a week and be good. There were always warning signs due to his awful K rate
  18. Time for a bloop and a blast
  19. I don't mind this lineup today
  20. ADA! Keep battling Youk
  21. Great AB, thanks ump also. Youkilis has to avoid the DP here.
  22. First game all season for Adams going more than an inning
