Both pitchers work the inside of the plate all game and Hawk makes sure everyone knows that the only way to be a good pitcher is to pitch inside. Hawk references "nintendo stuff" with axelrod, and also mentions 2 players who he thought had the most intense nintendo stuff in his career.

I like the matchup.

 

Also, if the Sox win, they are at 5-4 and lost a series to perhaps the strongest team in baseball, in their stadium, 2 games to 1. That really isn't bad at all. Then they get Cleveland and its awful pitching staff.

 

No shame in losing 2 of 3 in Washington, but do it.

 

If they win, they're right where they're supposed to be.

 

But this has got to be a 5-5 road trip.
