  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 03:36 AM) "There's a shot what new". If this was a classic Nintendo game, this inning Peavy would have been the pitcher who couldn't throw the ball hard and his drop pitch was no longer hitting the ground, but rather floating up to the plate while Peavy was sweating on the mound.
  2. Haha, brilliant job Ozzie. 115 pitches for Peavy is inexcusable
  3. KC taking some huge hacks against Peavy. Need one more out
  4. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 03:31 AM) The stupidity of this team is amazing Definitely the most unlikable Sox team of the Ozzie era.
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 03:30 AM) Can we keep it a one-run game and get one more shot at lousy Luke? Or do they tee off on Jake in the seventh? No way should Peavy be allowed to start this inning.
  6. Of course, god forbid we get a clutch hit. Something that's sad is if roles were reversed, Lillibridge would steal 2nd there against the Sox without even a throw.
  7. Big opportunity for Flowers here to have a huge game
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 02:24 AM) Come on Brent, help us out again If you're a Royals fan, he comes through again
  9. QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 03:13 AM) Keenyn Walker 0-5, 5 K. 21 K in his last 42 AB. He really is a Jared Mitchell clone
  10. QUOTE (danman31 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 02:18 AM) He put up! Way to go Tyler! It will be interesting to watch him face some of those Indians pitchers next week. I hope Flowers can learn how to drop the barrel on a low fastball.
  11. Way to try and pull that slider Carlos. A loss tonight, and you start thinking the season could be all but over after next weekend if we continue to struggle. I can't see the current version of the Sox being able to make up 6 games on a superior Tigers team.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 03:08 AM) He had 4 K's through 3 innings, so he started the game with something. The only way I ever get conditioned to do something athletically is to do it. It looked like he was going all out to start the game, as I even mentioned he seemed to be pushing himself early on and overthrowing (weird reactions by him). He was throwing 92 mph early on, but that seemed to be his peak. The issue now is to wonder if he really only be a 75-85 pitch pitcher for the rest of his career?
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 02:06 AM) He got through 4 scoreless innings, hard to say he had "nothing". Once he got to the 3rd time through, that was it. Flowers with a BOMB. That was very impressive by Flowers!! And balta, he wasn't fooling anyone in the 4th inning though and I don't believe he had a strike out after the first time through.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 03:04 AM) Look there's nothing wrong with pushing him to 108, that's a good workout for him, push him as long as he can go every time out. Just understand what that last clause means...when he gets in trouble, that has to be it, pull the plug there. But if you're actually trying to compete, the long outings have resulted in him having nothing on the mound for a few weeks after.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 03:04 AM) I know. Meanwhile we get a gift from KC when they throw the ball in center and we can't score Lexi from third. These things add up. It was 2-0, shoulda been 3-0. Now we are staring at a 2-run deficit. White Sox season from hell continues unless Paulie can hit a couple more bombs. Greg, when will you finally admit that Ozzie has no clue how to manage his personnel?
  16. So if Butler goes up the middle as well as Stone says, why was Omar (nice range there buddy) playing more in the hole? Makes little sense, as Quentin was playing very far off the line.
  17. I swear there has been about 5 times this year where the opposition hit a foul ball that was just out of the reach of our player, only for that at bat to result in game winning hit.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 03:01 AM) He had a long outing last time out right? Yep, 108 pitches when he could have easily been pulled after about 80. Ozzie is just such a f***ing moron.
  19. Haha, what a disgrace. Good thing we walk Cabrera to get to someone that crushes Peavy. Come on Jake, please retire!
  20. Hey dumbass, take your chair with you!
  21. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 02:56 AM) Ozzie is to busy counting pitches. He doesn't count pitches...he counts innings
  22. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 02:56 AM) Might be time to shut him down. Or make him a middle reliever. No reason in the world to have him throw 108 pitches last Sunday. It amazes me how poorly the Sox organization has handled Peavy's workload this year.
  23. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 14, 2011 -> 02:54 AM) Jake's gonna get killed on the mound. Maybe he'll just threaten to retire?
  24. Might be time to pull him Ozzie!!
