QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:51 AM) When the Pirates with a win tonight are over .500 and the Sox are not even .500 there is a huge problem with this team! I'm loving the rejuvenation of the Pirates. Hanrahan is a stud, and someone I wanted the Sox to look into last year along with Matt Lindstrom (I'm a sucker for hard throwers in the Futures Game).

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:49 AM) Well you guys say I am one of the top three homers around here, and if I'm down on the guy, then his best days probably are well, well behind him... As well as docsox saying it
-
The funny thing is that people probably think I hate Peavy. He's definitely not someone I dislike, and really hope he can be a big factor for the Sox the next year and a half.

QUOTE (Real @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:38 AM) is that really where you're going? come on dude, you're a better poster than that.... when you're not in first place, and you're playing against the team who is nearly double digits ahead of you in the loss column in May, and you show up the way Peavy did, kudos to him... i have yet to see Peavy 'choke' as a Sox starter. I know he's been hurt, but it isn't his fault and some of the vitriol spewed around in his direction on this forum just pisses me off dude wants to pitch, he wants to compete, he wants to help this team, and when he's had the opportunity he has helped us flame away, i just hope i'm not the only person on this forum that feels this way because it would be pretty f***ing sad if that's the case Well, fair enough, I was referring to postseason games.

QUOTE (Real @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 03:31 AM) Uh what? Like that CG 1hitter this year against the team that was in first place? He was dominating the tigers before he got hurt in his last start too No f***ing way I compare him to Javy Vazquez Wait, games in May are considered big games?
-
QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 03:25 AM) As much as I hate Peavy's brittleness physically, I sort of agree. I think he'd welcome grabbing the ball and facing the Twinks despite the fact they own the Sox. Except ... It'd be 0-0 after nine with Jake and we'd lose in 10. Oh my god, this makes me want to throw a computer. I wonder how the Peavy Praisers would react knowing he has a Javy-esque reputation for pitching in big games.

QUOTE (Real @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:23 AM) be honest none of you thought we had a prayer in this series right? the fact that MIN has the f***ing rochester red wings taking the field makes no difference only way we had any shot in this series would have been if Peavy and Humber were the starters (imo, the two guys in our rotation who i trust to get a win, too bad Peavy is in Charlotte...) I thought we'd win both games to be honest. This Twins lineup is pathetic, and I thought Dunn would crush Pavano tonight.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:21 AM) I want to get mad, but I think it's good that I don't care that much anymore. Prevents stress. Someone on here said it best after the Santos loss last week. Until they get to .500, there's no reason to even be disappointed in losses. Sure you can get mad, but we're not talking about a contending team right now.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:21 AM) I wonder what tomorrow's complaining thread will be titled "Greg Walker Needs To Go"

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 03:20 AM) I'd have to list the games Thornton pitched in april My gosh, the Santos loss to the A's might be the most shocking loss I can remember.

QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 03:19 AM) Read my next post. True, but the Twins get a LOT of lucky breaks, too. They did?
-
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 03:18 AM) Worse loss of the year to me. Pavano give me a FN break. .500 a long way off. This doesn't rank in the top 10
-
QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 03:17 AM) Someone in the Twins' offices is getting his dick sucked by lady luck. Huh? They should have won this game by 5 or 6 runs.
-
Hey, that's our #5 hitter! Awful performance tonight.
-
Hawk, that was not hit that hard and if it went past Pavano, would have been easy play for their 2b.
-
QUOTE (kapzk @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 03:15 AM) so dumb giving up that run in the 8th, should have pulled out gavin You mean after Gavin almost allowed an 800 foot homer?
-
Jeez, have a clue Quentin. Stone was quite annoyed there.
-
Very nice Alexei! Time for a blast

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 03:11 AM) But no steroids aided bat. Those Braves team were such frauds. They made a huge park look like a launching pad.
-
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 03:09 AM) Well, if the Indians hold on to beat DET, we're still only 4 1/2 games back. Great play by Beckham, there. I'm not sure which team is more dangerous though....Minnesota or the Tigers? Tigers, no doubt about it
-
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:03 AM) I wouldn't call Gavin's start lifeless. He had his usual brain-fart early in the game but like he did before, he settled down and held them down. Lot of hits allowed to a split-squad lineup.
-
Gavin left in way too long tonight. Twins with great swings against him this inning. Oh well, what a bad performance by entire team.
-
QUOTE (Soxfest @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:02 AM) 5 SB against................AJ move on. 6 million dollar man next year
-
I'll never understand why we didn't try to upgrade our catching position by going after Olivo.
-
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jun 16, 2011 -> 02:52 AM) I'm glad they're not taking Pavano the other way like the Tigers did. That could hurt his confidence. This has been a pathetic clinic by our righty hitters.
