  1. Just noticed that all of our hits are from our lefties.
  2. 1 for 15 with RISP and 2 outs for Mr. Rios. He is such a non-factor this season.
  3. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:29 AM) Danks looked better last night and a team of professional hitters handed him his ass. This is why I can not get excited about this team. No change in the approach at all swing from the heels and hope the wind is blowing out. Something that is scary is how little power we have in our lineup this year outside of the middle of the order.
  4. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:27 AM) Chatwood looks terrible If he gets the win tonight, he owes Alexei and Teahen a steak dinner.
  5. Still wish we would have traded Rios for Granderson.
  6. I hate that Juan isn't able to steal in "easy" steal situations. Even average runners are usually able to steal 2nd with a high success rate when there's a runner on 3rd also.
  7. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:16 AM) Kendry Morales is going to have to have another surgery on his leg and will be out for the season. Tough loss for the Angels. Guy was an offensive force before his injury. Make him the full time DH, and then sign Pujols this offseason
  8. I'm so sick of watching Alexei with RISP of late.
  9. QUOTE (Soxfest @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:07 AM) What the hell was Ramerez doing. He was wondering how someone could still spell his last name wrong
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:01 AM) Angels announcers said that there advanced scouts had him as high as 94-95 in his last rehab start. Not sure the truth there, but his velocity looks fine. In fact, as I see him pitch, I think if his arm doesn't fall off, he'll be back to being an ace for us and could pan out. If he can be a #3 starter next year, I'll be happy with that. Days of him being an ace are long gone, and were before the injury in my opinion.
  11. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2011 -> 04:02 AM) How the hell does that turn into a triple. Bourjos is so f***ing fast. And Pierre has my arm. Juan Pierre can't get an extra base hit, but he sure contributes to them on defense. Unreal how bad he is this season.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:59 AM) By the way, Dunn has extra base hits in each of his past 3 games. Did great on Monday, doubled yesterday, and hit a bomb today after having a solid single in his first AB. Both of the Chicago big free agent acquisitions went from the worst hitters on the team to the most dangerous hitters in a week.
  13. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:58 AM) Fathom, I should add, your comments were in the first inning. Its looked a bit better, but he has definitely hung his fair share. Velocity is nice though. I was half expecting Peavy throwing 80 mph and relying on a Moyer-like change-up. Considering some of us thought he was done with about 3 weeks ago, this is more than I could have ever expected.
  14. Awful by Rios. He seems to overswing whenever he has RISP.
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:54 AM) Thats odd, given that the Angels announcers have been commenting how sharp it looks. I've seen it between 81 and 87 on the clock. He rolled one or two but he's also snapped off a couple nasty ones. He hasn't got a swing and miss on the slider. It wasn't just me who thought so, but who knows if it's been a cutter instead.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:40 AM) Morel, power defense average. Aj average and fielding. Of course it's far easier to pay no attention to a players track record or ability and stress over right now. Which is why I conclude from the same standard that Dunn and Beckham are also no tool players Morel has power? That's news to me. AJP has fielding as a "tool"?
  17. At this point, it almost seems it's in our best interest for Pierre to go 0 for his next 40 and make the decision easier for KW (and not Ozzie). Again, you can even consider an injury to him, as he's the anti-Peavy.
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2011 -> 03:36 AM) "slumping" And when they're not slumping, what tools do they have that are above average?
