Well, that was fast. Sergio...your fastball is too hittable. Throw sliders!!

That was an easier play than the homer that Lillibridge robbed. Probably would have helped Rios if he actually sprinted back to the fence.

Why oh why are you throwing first pitch fastball there?

Ugh, you have to be kidding me. Rios did not seem to get a very good leap there. It's a homer...thanks again for nothing Rios.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 02:19 AM) damnit Fathom, that's 3 minutes of my life spent search wiki that I can't get back. Sorry...if it makes you feel better, google has pissed me off the last two days cause they no longer have the "realtime" function that lets you look up twitter updates on any name you enter.

QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 01:18 AM) That actually was on Memorial Day of 2005, not July 4, IIRC. I was there in the scout seats that day. But nevertheless, maybe, maybe, maybe this could be the breakout of Adam Dunn, but I am not holding my breath. Crap, got my holidays mixed up! My bad

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 01:17 AM) Against K-Rod, right? For some reason, I remember it being to RF. Who knows. Shields, and I'm sure it was LF.

There needs to be a Lumberjack Divas match where all ten wrestlers that Kelly Kelly has banged are ringside.

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 01:13 AM) damnit now i have to go look this up... Flipper down left field line to win a game vs Angels. The funny thing is that there's a puzzle of US Cellular that they sell that is from this game.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 01:07 AM) So what is the chance that Viciedo gets flipped for a leadoff hitter like Reyes. None...if we wouldn't trade him last year for Dunn, we're not going to trade him now when KW had him pencilled into the 2012 outfield

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 01:05 AM) Carlos Santana with his 13th homer of the season. Uh-oh. 3 run lead for CLE now, at least. He's going to be a hell of a player

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 12:56 AM) My sig from Blackburn says it all. These guys, outside of Kong and maybe AJ, think that hitting is about a glorified home run competition. I remember a few years back listening to the twins radio broadcast and they were talking about how our pre game hitting is just a glorified home run comp. Our guys just go for homers instead of getting there work in. They said we were the only team they saw all year doing this. Yet people still argue that another perspective/point of view if Walker is canned wouldn't be a positive thing.

Another quality start by our rotation. Hopefully our offense gets going this year so 7-3 seems like a very winnable start.

QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 01:50 AM) This first pitch hunting s*** that he does should plant his ass on the bench. Or move up in the box and take away the change-up?

QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 5, 2011 -> 01:49 AM) Rios is a hack. Weak, off balance, and lazy. Is this the worst game of the year for him? It's amazing how few hard hit balls he's responsible for. This first half has been the exact opposite of last year's first half for him.

2 for 29...he's barely even trying out there. He absolutely needs to lose his starting spot. I honestly can't recall the last Sox player to ever display such awful focus and effort as Rios does. He must have a date after the game the way he's trying to get this game over with quickly.
