  1. QUOTE (docsox24 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 02:42 PM) I know you guys don't want to hear this but Juan isn't going anywhere and Dayan will not be replacing him anytime soon. Yep, only hope is 0-40 stretch by Juan or a pulled hamstring
  2. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 12:24 PM) I just hope this isn't an admission from Jake that he himself isn't sure he can stay healthy as a starter... Yep, this is what was kinda hinted at yesterday. You said it perfectly here.
  3. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 05:01 AM) I don't disagree with you often but wholeheartedly disagree here. We have no "ace" without the REAL JFP on the mound this year. My guess your thinking is we'd be better off knowing he won't be here so we can just focus on business at hand rather than consistently talk about when he's going to be back from the DL time and time again? Exactly!
  4. Greg, check out these twitter posts that show up when searching Ron Roenicke: AndrewSa888‎ And finally Ron Roenicke, Your way better than Ken Macha but your decisions are really annoying with the Bullpen and possible INT walks. Twitter - 99 1 minute ago ‎ cgbryant24‎ Ron Roenicke's completely incompetent bullpen managament and line-up construction are going to cost the #Brewers a playoff berth. Fire him. Twitter - 135 2 minutes ago ‎ detassler‎ Ron Roenicke may be worse than Ned Yost at managing a bullpen. Twitter - 194 3 minutes ago ‎ Chumpnasty‎ RT @BadgerNoonan: Ron roenicke should be fired for the last 2 games. Amazing incompetence. Twitter - 341 5 minutes ago ‎ BerniesCrew‎ The bullpen arms still have to get the job done -- but terrible job managing the bullpen tonight by Ron Roenicke. Just brutal. #Brewers Twitter - 346 5 minutes ago ‎ thegnc‎ Dear Ron Roenicke, STOP WASTING OUTS! Twitter - 490 8 minutes ago ‎ BadgerNoonan‎ RT @eznark: Ron Roenicke could not be worse at his job. #brewers Twitter - 527 8 minutes ago ‎ BadgerNoonan‎ Ron roenicke should be fired for the last 2 games. Amazing
  5. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 04:36 AM) Whom? Brewers' skipper? Cubs? Yep, Ron Roenicke of the Brewers. Supposedly he doesn't believe in intentional walks.
  6. Greg, you'll be very happy to know that I've found a manager worse than Ozzie!
  7. Of course, I'm of the opinion that in the long run this year, we're a better team without Jake Peavy on the roster.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:29 AM) Jake, please, shut up! He has to have the greatest publicist in the world
  9. That would be an awful decision.
  10. Fascinating blog entry on Roenicke. Brewers fans are going nuts about him. No excuse for his failure as manager tonight. I couldn't imagine the meltdown on here if Ozzie brought in Tony Pena in a 4-1 game in the 8th when his set-up man was good to go. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/123792549.html
  11. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 15, 2011 -> 03:28 AM) Watching the Cubs right now. Other than the immortal Clayton Kershaw, is their pitcher in the NL 25 and under better than Gallardo? You can't hit this dude when he's not walking guys. Don't worry, it took 4 batters for the Cubs to tie it. Really Milwaukee, Marco Estrada is your 8th inning man? Where's Hawkins and his .59 ERA? I'm not sure Roenicke isn't on the take this series.
  12. Sounds like a rain out
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 03:47 PM) Who's that? Ronald Guzman
  14. Read yesterday where KC is expected to sign the best International player on the market.
  15. I just like how Milwaukee has Kotsay batting in front of Braun/Fielder (while Morgan's been great for them), and then has a batter that's 4 for his last 45 batting behind those two studs. And yes, the squeeze play was terrible.
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 02:30 PM) We finally seem to have him right again. The last thing we need to do is Nick Swisher him up by trying to make him do something he isn't going to be comfortable with. the whole reason Juan Pierre is still on this team is that he is the one guy who actually has hit as a leadoff hitter on a regular basis in his career. Just like plugging Dunn into the DH spot, there are mental adjustments that go with putting someone in that spot. We don't need to screw up another player trying to do that right now. That is why Kenny isn't forcing Viciedo into the line up right now. It hasn't got anything to with the idiotic notion that somehow Pierre is being rewarded by Ozzie for sucking. It is the same idea as asking your closer to go start a game. IMO, it has everything to do with Ozzie's desire to have a slappy, speedy guy at the top of the order. The switch to lead off hitter is a lot less difficult than Dunn's adjustment, as you only truly lead off once.
  17. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 02:23 PM) I hate to say it, but I think Rios is the solution to Viciedo coming up. If Rios continues his resurgence, I would lead him off and bring up Viciedo to play OF. Rios has done it before in Toronto, he is capable. The only question is whether Rios figured it out or if he is just having a lucid moment in a season of insanity There's two posters on this site that have proven time and again they have inside sources. One of them said the master plan is for Rios to lead off next season.
  18. QUOTE (scenario @ Jun 14, 2011 -> 03:31 AM) Lots of wishful thinking until Ozzie decides to sit Pierre. In my opinion, this article was Kenny's way of saying that he wants Viciedo playing in LF but Ozzie wants Pierre instead. Just like last year, it's his way of putting Ozzie in the spotlight.
  19. Feels like such a jinx on a night where Indians and Tigers both win by one.
  20. I see the Brewers continue to have an idiot for a manager. Playing Kotsay in CF, and then not walking Aramis with a base open? I feel sorry for Milwaukee fans.
  21. Peavy trade due to ridiculous amount of money we have tied up in him. With Jackson the money wasn't the type to really impact your budget
  22. No one said Padres didn't have money issues. There's people on this site that can confirm I was saying the same thing to them after the first near Peavy trade with regards to concerns San Diego had about how he would hold up. If Sox trade Danks this offseason I dont think anyone would claim it's a salary dump
  23. Padres knew they couldn't sign him to an extension so that's why they got rid of him now
  24. Gonzalez wasn't a salary dump at all.
  25. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 13, 2011 -> 05:52 PM) Wennington, Joel Anthony, Dalembert, Magloire, and Todd MacCulloch versus Luc Longley, Chris Anstey, David Andersen, and Andrew Bogut. It's close. Todd MacCulloch is one of the greatest pinball players in the world.
