  1. QUOTE (SoxPride56 @ Apr 28, 2011 -> 12:44 AM) But good thing we took him out to save his arm! That story was bogus
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 28, 2011 -> 12:43 AM) Wow, the RF warning track is getting a workout. Buehrle has gotten hammered in all but one start this year.
  3. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 11:39 PM) I don't be;ieve what just happened. Bases loaded and no out and we can't score I don't understand why Teahen isn't playing 3rd or LF. Need to get his bat in the lineup right now. Pierre is just a pile of suck, yet he never gets a day off.
  4. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 11:36 PM) colon's still got it -- Gordon is f***ing lost, so that helps. You get the feeling it's going to be Omar at 2nd and Teahen at 3rd on a regular basis in about two weeks
  5. Never thought I'd say this, but thank Lillibridge that Buehrle's contract is up. He's being paid a ton of money to be a mediocre #3 starter. A trip to the NL is what he needs to salvage his career.
  6. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 03:36 AM) So what, every manager bunts in that situation no matter what and yet Oz gets ripped by Sox fans on here when he does it. No, they really don't. I have a feeling Girardi looked at Granderson's career numbers against Thornton, and decided to bunt.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 02:13 AM) I guess Ozzie isn't so dumb after all, putting Lilly in right for the ninth. Kudos to you, Ozzie! and Lilly! It wasn't a defensive sub
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 02:13 AM) He almost blew it twice. Gotta love the Stealth Elf for saving the day. He was brought in with no breathing room to face two of the best hitters on the planet. I'm just proud of him for throwing strikes.
  9. Poor Lillibridge. Last year, he hits a mammoth bomb the night Hawks won Stanley Cup. This year, he makes some amazing plays to beat the Yanks on the night Bulls/Hawk can advance.
  10. QUOTE (cws0591 @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 03:00 AM) like i said. Do you want me to find the Buehrle or Danks thread about starting the 9th inning? Yeah, a little different with Buehrle facing the A's then facing the American Dreams for the 4th time.
  11. How hard would it have been to let Santos start the inning to face Jeter? Jeter's had a hard time hitting any decent fastball this year, and didn't have much of a chance vs Santos last night.
  12. At least Thornton's in line for the loss now if we lose this inning.
  13. Thornton absolutely gunned that throw to first.
  14. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 27, 2011 -> 02:53 AM) I wish Yankees were bunting here. Ozzie would do that. Wow, thanks Joe!
  15. I wish Yankees were bunting here. Ozzie would do that.
  16. Dead fastball hitter vs dead fastball pitcher coming up
  17. Damn Ozzie, don't bring in Thornton now. Let your closer (Santos) start the inning!
