NASTY by Sale. Really fun getting to watch him and Santos develop.

Wow, that 1-2 pitch was a blatant strike and a fantastic pitch.

QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) Pavano's a FA next year I believe, but I'm pretty sure the Twins will try to resign him. Outside of Liriano, they have a bunch of 3s and 4s. Their starting staff is nothing special. Isn't that all you need when you have a good offense though? Slowey no hitter thru 7.

QUOTE (IceCreamPants @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:59 PM) Oh jeez. You cant think the word dominate is the proper word to choose there. Sometimes I just dont understand if its even possible to top your negative thinking. If Morneau stays healthy, and with their increased payroll, they are set to have a stellar lineup for quite a while. You look around the AL Central, and you see the Tigers and White Sox having some huge holes offensively in the next few years.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:57 PM) Teahan doubles in PK and it 5-3. Maybe we have life after all Tigers have no Valverde, so Tigers pen could be stretched thin.

Time for one of those Castro no-doubters

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:55 PM) Yeah there is...that pitching staff still doesn't scare anyone on paper... How many years did they sign Pavano for? Liriano, Slowey, Duensing, and Baker isn't bad at all...and they have Gibson lurking.

QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:54 PM) That is an understatement. I was at the last game in the Twins series. The crowd checked out after the first time the team left the bases loaded. Konerko, in particular, has looked like s***. Anything low and in to him results in a swing and a miss. Konerko and Rios have seen a huge increase in their K/AB since the ASB. Pretty sure every K has been on an offspeed pitch.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:53 PM) Overcoming a loss like that...that's just amazing. On top of the loss of Nathan. Their roster is just stacked. It really is stacked, even with Hardy having a bad wrist all season. There's no excuse for them not to dominate the AL Central for the next few years.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:50 PM) Apparently. It happens every season and no one is held accountable. The pull baseball approach has been awful the last two weeks. Some pathetic at bats with RISP as well.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:47 PM) Impossible. I've been told numerous times that the Twins do not have a good pitching staff. The upgrade from Blackburn to Duensing is like going from Thome to Kotsay as your DH....but the exact opposite.

QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:47 PM) Yeah we need to go back getting only 3 runs on 3 homers and still lose games. Home runs are bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:47 PM) If they win today it'll be 17-4 in their last 21, and then they get a team they love to batter for the next 3 games. We gonna face Baker, Liriano, and Pavano?

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:45 PM) I think the Twins are in the process of doing that. They're like 16-4 in their last 20. if next week goes badly, KW better not go ahead and waste money on Manny.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:42 PM) So, 3 back of the Twins coming into a 3 game series in Minny. Basically, we play like we usually do in Minny and that's the division. Yep, we've lost 7.5 games in the division in a less than a month.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:39 PM) Have to use game day today so when I logged onto Chisox.com I see the headline "Sox take advantage of Tiger miscue" OK we scored a run, but it failed to mention we were down 3-1 again showing no offense. Tigers have a home run and 2 doubles. Where is ouir power? It's all singles Look at the lineup we had today? Outside of Konerko and Rios, there is no f***ing power. It's absolutely insane to play home games at the Cell with this bulls*** lineup.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 08:33 PM) Beckham has gotten 2 very hittable, up fastballs the last 2 pitches and he's flown open on them. Wow, that was vintage April-May Beckham. We've played the last 10 games like we did during April-May, so that's not much of a surprise.
