  1. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:14 AM) With tomorrow marking the two thirds way mark in the season, doesn't it just make sense to get Dayan into the starting line-up every day, whether at 3rd or DH, and maybe just maybe have Kotsay pinch-hit for him sporadically against certain right-handed pitchers? I mean, enough is enough already! Dude, lefties are way better against Galarraga than righties. That .002 difference is HUGE!
  2. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:12 AM) Nah. I hope he makes an out every single at-bat that does not involve RISP or losing late in the game. Oh don't worry, you don't even have to root against him to fail with RISP.
  3. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:12 AM) Gallaraga actually missed the location, Carlos hit that ball on the outside. You see that a lot though, as pitchers try to aim it cause they know CQ will just let the ball hit him if it's inside.
  4. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:11 AM) I saw the catcher setting up inside to Quentin and started laughing. I'm right there with you
  5. Between Quentin and Kotsay, they combined to hit the ball 630 feet. If you divide that in half, Kotsay JUST MISSED another home run.
  6. CQ! I love when the catcher sets up inside when he's facing righties.
  7. Two of the best pure stuff starters in the AL going in tomorrow's White Sox game. Nice eye there PK!
  8. QUOTE (TitoMB @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:04 AM) So has Coop "fixed" Jackson's "problem" yet? Or does he need more time to work it out? Let's just hope he doesn't pay for one of these hangers. He's showing damn good command of his fastball.
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:03 AM) And guess what that is? Kotsay's job security?
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 12:59 AM) He's thrown a couple decent ones to Cabrera and his best one of the day was on Peralta. Peralta would fit in with our lineup based on how he tried to swing at that slider. Nice call, and great job by Jackson of bailing out PK.
  11. Alexei seems to be playing Peralta too far up the middle. Hopefully Jackson pitches accordingly.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 4, 2010 -> 11:57 PM) Thankfully, he's managed to throw decent breaking balls to Cabrera. Both of Cabrera's outs were on MASSIVE hangers. AJP should just stop calling for the slider, it's f***ing horrible.
  13. Our defensive players couldn't be more out of the game if they tried today. Saw the same thing in the 2nd game last night.
  14. Awesome, bad defensive play all around. No way Tigers don't have a big inning here.
  15. Damn, all 5 hits so far on offspeed pitches. Need a DP before Cabrera.
  16. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 4, 2010 -> 11:49 PM) He should have bunted there, and I hate the bunt. Juan Pierre might be the most ideal candidate for the hit-and-run to play in the majors during the last decade.
  17. Ugh...what's Ozzie waiting for? No excuse not to put Beckham in motion.
  18. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 4, 2010 -> 11:45 PM) His slider for the strikeout was close to the perfect pitch. Didn't that last ball that hit the bag...wouldn't Konerko have fielded it for an easy out? Or was it going to get past him for a double and possible runner scoring from 1st? It was past him already, so it was a break for the Sox. Hit-and-run time Ozzie!
  19. Jackson just needs to go after these guys with the fastball on the 2 strike pitches. He's hung probably 80% of his sliders so far.
  20. Looks like he was out by the slimmest of margins.
  21. Jackson's lucky he didn't mess his wrist up on that.
  22. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 4, 2010 -> 11:33 PM) Gallaraga with Zambrano-like stomp on first base. I don't like the guy. Why not?
  23. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 4, 2010 -> 11:32 PM) Can they haze Kotsay by putting a fake line-up card in the clubhouse and making him think he has the day off? Can they haze him by putting some illegal substance in his drink and then get him suspended 50 games?
