  1. CQ, do your thing! He has to hit the ball in the air to avoid the 5-4-3.
  2. QUOTE (BearSox @ Jul 16, 2010 -> 12:13 AM) Actually, we'd be best off with Vizquel at 2B and Viciedo at 3B, but Ozzie would rather play Beckham in hopes that he remembers how to hit, regardless of who gives us the best chance at winning. You seem very angry tonight. You ok?
  3. Excellent base running by Pierre.
  4. Ryan Howard just destroyed one vs the Cubs. With wind howling out, first of many home runs in this game.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 10:20 PM) Oh come on Fathom, for a guy that was advertised as athletic but raw coming in, he at least put together some decent games towards the end of last year, and that was with a guy as his coach who was so bad that he got hired by the Clippers. I honestly didn't follow the Bulls much last season besides for the last month of the season and playoffs. In the games I did watch of Johnson, he seemed to be brutal (as well as what some of my friends said about him). From what I recall, many people didn't consider Johnson all that raw due to his advanced age (same with Taj).
  6. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 10:02 PM) I'd like to see him become a competent ball handler for an NBA 3 before discussing his potential as a Point-Forward. Is he competent in any area? He got away in college with just being bigger and stronger than the other players, and that he had an NBA-esque frontcourt around him.
  7. If he still feels woozy after all this time, then he's not going to be cleared for a while.
  8. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) And yet, it seems like they have him working on that in Vegas. well, he needs to work on his defense first, as he's a foul machine!
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 09:32 PM) I'd really like both of them and have a SG-SF rotation of Redick-Brewer-Korver-Deng-Johnson. Hell, maybe if Johnson realizes his Point-Forward potential, he could run the point at times to let Derrick rest. Wait, James Johnson as point guard? NO THANKS! He's way too clumsy with the ball.
  10. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 09:30 PM) apparently the Hornets rescinded their offer to Luther Head based on medical reports well, Luther needs to stake them out with a golf club and make them change their mind.
  11. 4 lefties in the lineup against Danks. He should be very successful if he can locate his slider.
  12. If Jenks faces Thome in a late inning situation, do not throw low fastballs! I'm nervous for tonight's game. It's great feeling like the games really matter.
  13. QUOTE (scenario @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 07:31 PM) I've looked at the sheets. Yeah, they lose some baggage, but our payroll obligations for 2011 aren't significantly different than theirs. How's their attendance been so far?
  14. QUOTE (scenario @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 06:24 PM) You mean on top of their current $133M payroll? Yes, because they're getting a ton of salary off the books after this season (Bonderman, Willis, and Robertson)
  15. QUOTE (bucket-of-suck @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 07:09 PM) Detroit's system is as bad or worse then the Sox -per Kevin Goldstein Baseball Prospectus. Detroit can take on some huge salaries though, which might help them acquire Haren if they take a bad contract back from Arizona as well. Tigers have guys like Jacob Turner to trade.
  16. sorry, it was Favre and not Rondo
  17. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 04:35 PM) Tada! You're my ASB MVP!
  18. Lilly would be the idea fit for the Mets
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 02:12 PM) Did he get "Play of the year" or is that for next year? Did his perfect game get on there? He was up for the award, but R. Rondo won. They showed footage of the perfect game as well.
  20. QUOTE (LVSoxFan @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) I thought that was hilarious when Lilly did that FWIW. I'm trying to find the actual video of that entire AB. Thank you Chris Young!
  21. People probably remember him from the near no-hitter, but he's been pretty bad this season. His velocity is down, and he's benefitted from pitching in a ton of home games where the wind was blowing in.
  22. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 04:41 AM) He really is, which is sad. He is also the douchiest. The NBA and Miami media sure swept under the rugs some reports about Wade's womanizing and drug use from his former business partner.
  23. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 04:38 AM) And to think, I really liked Wade coming into this off-season. I've said for two years that Wade had no intention of coming to the Bulls, and sadly, it seems like the information was correct. I give Wade credit though, he's the most powerful person in the NBA now.
  24. sf1, Pistons are going to be re-signing Bynum in the next few days. Sounds like Wade talked his buddy into waiting to see if the Heat would have cap room, but they won't.
  25. QUOTE (girlslikebaseballtoo#26 @ Jul 15, 2010 -> 04:05 AM) Am I the only one that views her forehead as behemoth?!?! LOL I guess that's what just ruins her for me ...I'm trying my hardest to get use to it though! Wait, she has a forehead? You could have said she was wearing an "I hate the White Sox" hat tonight, and I wouldn't have noticed.
