  1. Yay, Buehrle throwing batting practice already. This Cubs lineup is loaded with righties today. He doesn't have a prayer of having a quality start.
  2. Ugh, weak at bat by Beckham. He was flying open pathetically bad AGAIN!
  3. Ok Gordon...be a hero like last time on Fox against the Cubs!
  4. Jeez Carlos...overpowered by Silva. Any word on the wind?
  5. Great approach on that single by PK. Come on CQ, keep it off the ground!
  6. Stay hot Rios! Come on PK, keep it off the ground!
  7. Stone's interview with B and B was amazing. He made fun of Piniella stuttering, told Lou that he has been offered numerous front office job, Stone never made fun of Lou being a broadcaster, and he said that Lou might be 16th in all-time wins....but he has zero postseason wins with the Cubs.
  8. Cowley said Garcia and Konerko confirmed the blow-up. Also, both Stone and Cowley suggested Hahn will be replacing KW sooner rather than later, and Ozzie's going nowhere.
  9. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 10:49 PM) Alright, good stuff. Would have been nice to not have to use Bobby today but I'll take a W. exactly, he came in and didn't give them any momentum!
  10. Way to go offense...the 4 singles in a row was a great momentum builder, and Peavy pitched his ass off.
  11. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 10:48 PM) Personally, I go with a decent reliever who hasn't pitched much of late like Putz to avoid turning a blowout into a save opportunity. And look at the board about 15 minutes ago, we were saying the same thing!
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 10:46 PM) With a 5-run lead? No, not with these conditions. I just took a walk outside, and it's insanely windy.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 10:45 PM) GMAB, fathom. You're getting on Ozzie for bringing in Jenks here? No, letting Linebrink start the inning.
  14. Lillibridge does look noticeably stronger this season, so that's promising.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 09:27 PM) Randy should be released if he can't come in a game where we're winning by all these runs. I hate him as well, but this is not currently a "close game" where you need to bring in your guns. 6 runs in this park right now is like a 3-4 run game anywhere else. Do you not remember the game we blew there last season? They scored 4 runs in a heartbeat off of Linebrink.
  16. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 09:27 PM) I'd go Putz, he's worked 1 inning since the 6th. That would be ok as well. Linebrink in these conditions is just begging for the go-ahead run to reach the on deck circle.
  17. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 09:25 PM) And Nix deserves the blame, not Oz. If Nix makes the play, Pena stays in. Jeez Greg, it's like you purposely don't even try to read what others are saying now. Having Pena in was fine...but Randy Williams should only pitch when we're getting destroyed. He literally is the worst pitcher in baseball.
  18. Who gets the 9th? I'd go with Thornton...but it will probably be Linebrink.
  19. Seriously Ozzie, WTF! You can't take your foot off the pedal in this park with these conditions. Did he really think bringing the worst pitcher in baseball in was going to work out well?
  20. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 10:21 PM) Williams in to make it a close game. Ozzie's probably surprised that the Cubs actually PH when there's a lefty on the mound.
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 09:20 PM) nyuk nyuk nyuk Huh?
  22. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 10:19 PM) Randy Williams now in. With this wind, you can't risk it really. Get Thornton and Putz up.
