QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:39 PM) Nope. Sale, but he'll go a few picks before the Sox picked. Don't ever let people on this board talk you into thinking that meaningless wins at the end of the season are a good thing.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:20 PM) I wonder if they have the prospects to get MB, as well as the $$$$. At this point, I'm not as concerned with the prospects we receive for Buehrle as I am freeing ourselves from his contract.
-
With Wojo, at the very least you're getting someone that can be a power reliever if starting doesn't work out. With Loux, you possibly have a rotation member to go along with McCullough and Broadway for the Windy City Thunderbolts. Kidding...I hope!
-
QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 05:13 PM) Law has us taking Wojo. Compared to Workman and Loux, I'd be ok with that.

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:02 PM) Right, I understand the concept, but as you said that's shady dealings. I dislike it very much. Sounds like something that would happen to us next year when we have a top 5 pick, and we'd end up taking a guy projected to go in the 20-30 range

QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 03:45 PM) I like her a lot. Not to sound chauvinistic, but she has a great rack. Yes, she really does.

QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:59 PM) Why are two teams bidding on a player that one team is entitled to draft due to a higher pick? It would seem that Grandal would then demand more money from KC, which could make them think of not drafting him. Sounds like some shady dealings by the agent. I'm concerned that Mayo and Callis, who are both at the draft, have the Sox taking Loux. Seems like there might be a leak in the Sox organization. With that said, interesting that Keith Law has Loux going 6th.
-
Why would Indians be going after Grandal when they already have Santana?
-
QUOTE (heirdog @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:53 PM) I'll just throw Stetson Allie into the mix as who I think the Sox will take. A hard-throwing HS arm that may end up doing a reverse Sergio Santos...and go play 3B. Not if you heard Stone and Hawk just go off on how dumb it is to draft high school pitchers. Allie will be a pitcher in the pros, you don't mess with that type of arm.
-
Callis mock draft has Sox taking Loux, EVEN with Grandal and McGuire still on the board. If that happens, you might as well just sell the team.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 06:26 AM) She's pretty damn cute imo. She's one weird ass chick though. Just a normal looking girl with the worst personality imaginable. Anna Kendrick was looking great tonight though.

Brooks, you should be enjoying your day off.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:05 AM) The Jenks haters amaze me. He's been the least of our problems this year. Way to go Bobby ... uh, again. Yep, he's been awesome this whole year. I can't believe anyone would dare criticize the World Series hero for being a liability earlier in this year. -
Castellanos might be the 2nd best offensive player in this draft after Harper. I'd love that pick.
-
So is it bad I DVR'd the MTV Music Awards and totally enjoyed it? I don't care who wins the awards, but the production value is pretty good and I give Tom Cruise credit for his dance number.

Z. Cox is falling right now. Having a lefty hitting 3rd baseman ready in about 3 years would really suck, wouldn't it?

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 03:37 AM) Is there a chance in hell Christian Colon slips to the supp. picks or is he a forgone 1st rounder? I've been up and down with him, but it would be really nice to draft a shortstop to build with Beckham. I doubt we pick O'Connor who I know Joe likes alot and I'm starting to jump on the bandwagon too. I would rather us draft a position player this year in the 1st and a pitcher in a stronger draft next year in the 1st, but thats just me. Watched Colon yesterday, and he really impressed me. Sounds like he might go higher than expected. If we want him, have to take him with the 13 pick.

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:06 AM) definitely. Nate Robinson really stepped up in the 4th quarter for Boston. Maybe it's me, but every time I watch N-Rob, he's fantastic.
-
QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 04:02 AM) Artest helped them out by going 1-10 or so. He could be the key factor in the series. If he's really on, LA is hard to beat. Vujacic should have got more time for the Lakers, he was doing some good things out there.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 02:59 AM) I don't know how this old, decrepit ass team does it. Boston hit three jump shots the entire 2nd half, and still won.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 03:50 AM) So what's the scoop on Stetson Allie? I did read somewhere that he could possibly slip to the 2nd round despite possessing first round talent. It just doesn't appear that he will be able to stick as a starter. Broxton is a pretty easy comparison. All I know is he has an amazing scouting video. I bet he goes towards the end of the first round, with a possibility the Cubs take him if O'Connor goes to the Mets.

Terrible coaching by Rivers sticking with Garnett. Rasheed Wallace has played significantly better than Garnett tonight.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 01:59 AM) Plus we haven't made a "safe" pick for four years now. Really if you look at it, we have taken safe players (meaning low ceiling college pitchers) only a few times. Thinking back to guys like Fields and Borchard that were projects, Gio and Honel were HS pitchers, throw in Brian Anderson. I know there is Broadway and McCollough, but that is about it. Exactly, it's our starting pitchers we drafted early that were too safe...and it's looking to be that way again this year. Reading the stuff about Loux on ESPN Insider, they basically said he needs work on 3 of his pitches in order to possibly be a mid-rotation starter.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jun 7, 2010 -> 01:27 AM) It's looking like a foregone conclusion that one of Wilson/Ranaudo will be available at #13. So Wilson/Ranaudo will be available at #14 as well
