  1. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:39 PM) Speak for yourself. I haven't stopped caring. The frusrating thing is that the two players who I most want to excel are Beckham and Quentin for the sake of the future of this organization. If they were playing well and the team was still tanking, it would be a lot more enjoyable than losing with them looking like Little Leaguers.
  2. 4 guys under .200 after the end of today. Can't win if you don't score in more than one inning most games. Danks continues to keep us in games, but we have no chance of making up ground until the offense starts resembling even that of a minor league team.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:32 PM) Brutal strike zone. Pavano was dropping changeups about 5 inches off the plate and getting calls. Santos threw a slider that split the plate and it was a ball. Santos is just that damn good.
  4. Twins relievers always just have such miniscule ERAs. It's amazing how they do it every year with a different group of set-up men.
  5. How do the Twins manage with one big asshole in Rauch, and then a softie with Thome? Poor Oney must be having a hard time deciding what to tweet.
  6. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:19 PM) it's just lifeless too much Too many situations where we have 9 up, 9 down.
  7. QUOTE (BFirebird @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:18 PM) This may sound stupid..but just bad luck? IMO...the hitting coach has little to do with it. We have a historic low BABIP because of bad luck and so many HR. Obviously they won't be a top 10 offense but if things even out they should be slightly below middle of the pack. But does everyone really feel like we're hitting into bad luck? Only Rios, Konerko, and Quentin seem to hit line drives for outs. Beckham, Pierre, Teahen, and AJP haven't been robbed all season it seems like.
  8. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:17 PM) For a guy who doesn't K that much, Pierre already has more K's than A.J. Yes, but neither guy K's a lot. Hard to complain about that with either of them. If we only score in 2 innings during these 2 games, I don't mind the sweep. This park with these conditions is brutal for our homer or nothing team.
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:14 PM) He's been all over the place for about 4 games now though...when is he going to be "not" all over the place? When he's Johan-esque. The fact he's avoided the terrible games when his stuff hasn't been sharp is very promising.
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2010 -> 07:10 PM) And you'd complain about your backup 1b hitting the occasional HR and hitting .225? Yes, when he's getting way too many at bats.
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:08 PM) Do you really think Kotsay will hit .135 all season if he continues getting at bats? I don't think he'll hit over .225. He's an aging player with a bad back and decreased bat speed. He's also trying to hit a home run ever at bat instead of hitting line drives.
  12. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:04 PM) Are you watching the game or listening by radio? Hitting the ball hard, aren't we?
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:00 PM) Great...then we'll just play Jones mooooo...oh, yeah, right. So you're advocating keeping Kotsay on the roster? There's 20 players in AAA that bat lefty and could be had for nothing that could hit better than .136 in the majors. I'll give Kotsay credit, at least his home runs have been meaningful.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 12, 2010 -> 06:56 PM) You really think Retherford and Lillibridge are going to give you something better? Yes, anyone can give you more than Vizquel. Kotsay's getting way too many at bats for someone who's hitting .136.
  15. Vizquel and Kotsay really need to get DFA'd, but I'm afraid both will stay on the roster for at least another 3 months.

    LOST!!!!

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 12, 2010 -> 03:22 AM) From a Lost nerd, that might have been the most disappointing episode ever. Cheesy, boring, awful acting....ugh. I was hoping for an episode equal to the Alpert flashback. That was a complete miss. Yes, I thought the acting was awful as well. Allison Janney was a bad choice to play that role.

    LOST!!!!

Yeah, that was an hour episode with about 2 minutes of action.
  18. QUOTE (Thad Bosley @ May 12, 2010 -> 02:55 AM) Where in the h-e-double-el toothpick is that amazing curveball of Jenks'? He's got the velocity back on the fastball. You couple that with the nasty curve, and we're back in business in the 9th inning! He was short-arming it, which caused him to spike it right into the ground.
  19. Way to go boys, keep us pumped for another day.
  20. Just saw we miss Greinke again this weekend, that's always nice.
  21. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 12, 2010 -> 02:51 AM) I am sure that Bobby learned his lesson from that mythical benching he had. It really helped him out. I love the scouting report of low fastballs to Thome.
  22. Much needed win...hopefully Jenks is too tired to pitch tomorrow.
  23. If Thome was a bigger asshole, that ball would have gone out of the park.
