QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ May 14, 2010 -> 03:44 AM) Yeah, these last 5 minutes have been absolutely ridiculous. Mauled on one end = fast break on the other. At LEAST 5 straight trips. Which is strange, as you would have thought the NBA would want a game 7. The Cavs have just sucked for most of this series, as they're not even coming close on their jump shots.
-
Will LeBron shake hands after they lose?
-
Delonte West might have money on the Celtics, he's passing it to them every time he gets the ball. Celtics in great shape now, as Cavs can't hit a jump shot. Jamison has been a real disaster for them this series as well.
-
Delonte West with some of the worst minutes in playoff history here.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 13, 2010 -> 07:53 PM) Yeah if that's true then he's a straight up douche. I've heard that Hawk and Farmer are EXTREMELY difficult to work with. If true, poor DJ.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 13, 2010 -> 08:28 PM) Scary thing is.. Miggy will improve, and has improved since he got to the AL every year. I told you guys he is worth every penny. I couldn't even imagine his numbers if he played in a hitter's park for 81 games a year.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2010 -> 06:59 PM) Miguel Cabrera, currently: 7 HR, 33 RBI, 1.092 OPS. Justin Morneau: 8 HR, 23 RBi, 1.138 OPS. And it's been cold. Evan Longoria: 8 HR, 29 RBI, .988 OPS, for a 1st place team, in the AL East, playing 3b, and 5/7 on SB. Not even bothering to write up Mr. 13 HR or Mr. Cano until they keep it up for a full season, but they're 2 and 4 in the league in OPS currently, with Cabrera at 3. After I wrote what I did before, I got to thinking that Longoria's the only other true contender I believe for the MVP.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2010 -> 07:53 PM) Yeah, because he's going to keep that RISP batting average up the whole year. You just argued against yourself. Yep, I said he's going to hit over .500 the entire year with RISP. The guy is a sensational player though that seems more focused this year than in the past and also is benefitting from the 1-2-3 in front of him overachieving so far. With Mauer playing in that monsterous park, I don't see anyone else putting up big numbers to compete with Cabrera this season.
-
Just give Miguel Cabrera the MVP now. Hitting over .500 with RISP.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 13, 2010 -> 05:56 PM) And Walker had nothing to do with Quentin's magical season? Who knows, it would be like saying he had something to do with Beckham's season last year, or Fields' first year in the majors. It's the adjustment part that Walker sucks with, and since he says he isn't employed to help veterans, then he better be able to help out the young guys.

QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ May 13, 2010 -> 05:18 PM) While I do believe he's probably the best player in the NBA, it is not "by a wide margin" when you consider some other comparable star players. Kevin Durant? Kobe Bryant? Carmelo Anthony? You think he is better than those guys by a wide margin? Kevin Durant is a freaking ball hog who looked overmatched against the Lakers. I've heard from many places that if the Bulls lose out on all the FAs this offseason, they're going to go balls out for Carmelo. Carmelo would be a great fit with Rose, significantly better than Wade would be.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ May 13, 2010 -> 04:58 PM) Completely agree. I'm stunned and speechless. LBJ is the best player in the league by a wide margin. If you get him on your team, you automatically become an NBA title contender. I guarantee that if Chris Bosh is the only player the Bulls sign this offseason, fans will be very disappointed with him in no time. He's from the Carlos Boozer school of no passing and no defense.
-
QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 13, 2010 -> 04:22 PM) Anyone who says they "wouldn't want" LBJ is an idiot, sorry. "I don't want the 25 year old - best player in the game on my team because I'm angry he celebrates" Read that out loud. You also must not have watch MJ much as he talked s*** just like anyone else. Agreed, I can't believe some of the stuff I'm reading.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 13, 2010 -> 02:26 PM) I must admit when thinking back on this past week's episode it seemed like one of those random made for tv movies you'd see on the SyFy network. Lame costumes and dialogue, mostly obscure actors and low budget effects. Agreed, it was cringe worthy. Some interesting stuff in this interview: http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/whats-alan-wat...-across-the-sea

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 13, 2010 -> 04:30 PM) If you really think those 2 players are on the same level, there's no logical argument that will work. With Sox prospects, you honestly never know. That's why I keep saying we need to get rid of Walker so that hopefully we can find someone who helps our young players make the adjustments necessary to succeed after the rest of baseball adjusts to them. I never thought Carlos Quentin would flop as much as he has since his magical season 2 years ago either, but right now, I'd rather have Chris Carter than him.

QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 13, 2010 -> 05:16 AM) I didn't think the episode was too bad, but then again I did come away dissapointed. I liked the adam and eve scene with the flashbacks at the end. That is one thing I was really hoping they were going to answer. The most important thing I took from the flashbacks is that Kate was a lot hotter and less muscular when the show started.

QUOTE (Brian @ May 13, 2010 -> 12:13 AM) It would of made no sense then since we hadn't actually seen Jacob or MIB until the beginning of the season finale. There is an interview with the guy that played Jacob and said there back story is not done being told. Which kind of makes me think that last nights episode was even more of a waste. I thought we had seen them on the island. If the first time was the finale, then it should have been one of the initial episodes this season.
-
Phil Dunphy on Modern Family is the best character on TV.
-
This episode would have been better off before the season finale from last season.

QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 12, 2010 -> 09:50 PM) They should lock Beckhams ass up right now to a 7 year deal No way, not after the Josh Fields debacle.

Let this be a warning to everyone: DON'T GET MARRIED
-
Fire Greg Walker! Before you give up on a guy who's shown the type of talent he has, you have to get another hitting coach in here. I don't care if it's not Walker's fault, but if we have to give up on Quentin, it makes our future look even worse.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:51 PM) Most ridiculous comment of this thread is preferring RBI baseball to Baseball Stars. Thank you....who didn't play the Lovely Ladies in order to earn more money?? -

QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:43 PM) If the Twins get a 3B by the deadline (maybe another arm in the bullpen though Rauch is shutting me up about the closer role) than the Twins should be in real good shape to take the division. Nick Punto is not going to cut it come playoff time. They aren't already? Of course, if the Tigers 1-2-3-4 in the batting order continues to resemble the American Dreams from Baseball Stars on Nintendo, then they might have a battle. -

QUOTE (jeffro2525 @ May 12, 2010 -> 08:40 PM) Our guys need to sleep correctly. We just can't have guys like Konerko and Jones being scratched...line-up isn't good enough. Isn't it just our luck this year? Freakin' Kotsay or Vizquel can't ever wake up with a neck strain? Konerko and Jones...two of the three guys that we can't lose....AND Alex missed time due to the birth of his child. Really the only three regulars that have missed any games due to injury this year. Haha, I said a few weeks ago that watch it be one of our few good players be the person that gets put on the DL first. No way it would be Kotsay or Vizquel.
