    LOST!!!!

QUOTE (Reddy @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 05:59 AM) i have no idea what it is either, but I completely agree with you. it just doesn't seem like the same show.... Unless the flash-sideways all magically come together (which I'm sure they will), that aspect of the show is boring the hell out of me. I thought the stuff on the island was fantastic tonight. In some ways, it seems this show needs one more full season to wrap up the current stuff they're dealing with.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 05:01 AM) Titus!!!!!!!! started 1-3 in conf play and took down the Big Ten title. Nice You have to love the Villain wearing a Club Tril shirt during pregame.
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 04:43 AM) Well we did have Deron get taken out with 2 weak first half fouls against them in the tourney when we were taking it to them early in the game. Does that count? Haha, I remember that game. As bad as it is playing them in the tournament, games at Cameron are infinitely worse.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 04:40 AM) LOL, ok buddy. You are right, the refs really hate Illinois. They get the short end of the stick EVERY game they play. I still say that if the current fan base ever had to deal with a game at Duke, there might be a riot on Illini message boards. The ironic thing is that WHarris and WS99 are two of the best minds in these threads, so I'm not calling them out at all.
  5. QUOTE (GoodAsGould @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 04:28 AM) Right, 16 foul shots to 3. It's always been that way under Weber, and always will be. They're a catch and shoot team, and rarely drive the ball to the rim. I'm pretty sure for the last 5 years, they're in the bottom 5 in the country for FT shots.
  6. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 3, 2010 -> 03:20 AM) Because they arent calling s*** on Illinois either. An all around terrible game for the refs. yep, Turner's 3rd foul was a joke
  7. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 2, 2010 -> 08:29 PM) Meh... Cabrera was a long shot to make it anyway. Hopefully he has a good year in AAA for the Knights sake and his sake. In some ways, I'd rather Cabrera really struggle in ST. He's a terrible fit as a bullpen guy with his wildness, etc.
  8. How in the world can you say that he failed Contreras, Cotts, and Jenks? That's one of the strangest things I've ever seen on this board. The two biggest misses I would say have been Aardsma and Masset, but I would say what he's done with Thornton, Floyd, Contreras, and Jenks overshadow that.
  9. Curry looks phenomenal out there. He's going to be a tremendous player, especially in that system. It's too bad for him he plays with the biggest ball hog in the league, Monta Ellis.
  10. QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Feb 25, 2010 -> 03:47 AM) And Purdue is horrible without Hummel. They are so royally screwed once that JR class is gone. THey have no talent at all in their sophomore and freshmen classes. Yep, they're maybe a top 50 team without him, and that's only cause they play good defense.
  11. What gives with the awful recruiting classes in the Big 10 the last few seasons? It seems that most of the good players are juniors and seniors. Teams like Purdue and Michigan are going to be in a world of trouble when their current junior/senior classes leave.
  12. The article about James makes no sense. He won't go to the Heat because both him and Wade would want to dominate the ball. I'm sure that's true, but why would he come to Chicago where we have one of the best point guards in the league?
  13. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 06:11 PM) I hope you sensed my oozing sarcasm. Completely...I wanted to use that line for the last two weeks when the rumors really started.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 05:04 PM) What a stand up guy. It's the same guy who left his wife after having twins so he could hook up with his current skanky looking wife.
  15. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 04:02 AM) Why not? They've both dominated throughout the minors through AA, but Hudson did a little better at each stop, and they are both the same age. Plus, Hudson is MLB ready, Drabek may need another year. I'm just going off statistics by the way, since I haven't seen Drabek pitch. Drabek is rated higher according to every scouting service you will find, I'm pretty sure. Scouts don't really care what type of numbers people put up, especially college pitchers that are in A ball. Taylor's also a significantly higher rated prospect than Danks/Mitchell.
  16. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Feb 23, 2010 -> 04:46 AM) ...I am sad now. Also, everyone saying we'd give up Danks, Floyd, or Beckham think about it... Kyle Drabek, Travisl D'Arnaud, and Michael Taylor (who became Brett Wallace) Hudson is one of the top SP prospects in the bigs, he could match Drabek. Flowers matches D'Arnaud Danks/Mitchell matches (or, if Mitchell, trumps) Taylor and Viciedo could match Wallace. The Sox guys aren't nearly as highly rated as the ones you're trying to compare them to.
  17. The best bet for the Sox to have good contributions this season is for Jones to start the season well and Kotsay to fade into bolivia and play once a week.
  18. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 06:37 PM) I would be shocked if Andruw Jones can provide anything offensively Josh Fields can't except a few fewer strikeouts. The optimism for him is amazing. The guy has barely hit .200 the last 3 seasons combined. It's ironic, because the articles last season around this time were all about Fields' improvement, showing up in shape, etc.
  19. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 06:58 PM) He will be hanging out with Dee Brown and McCamey. Agreed...Jimbo, you do know I hate Illinois, right?
  20. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 05:51 PM) That still doesn't make him a better point guard. He's just a very solid point guard on a great team, nothing wrong with that. He's not even the pg for Kansas when Taylor's in the game. Collins is going to have a nice career in Turkey though.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 04:33 PM) I'd give it to Turner, both in the big ten and the country. Turner's the best player in the country, but I'm not sure I'd consider him a true pg. If he is a pg, then he's obviously the best.
  22. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 05:13 PM) Sherron Collins is laughing at you. Sherron Collins is so average this season.
  23. QUOTE (MHizzle85 @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 06:38 AM) Did John Wall or Scottie Reynolds die or something? McCamey's maybe the best PG in the B10. Even then, I'd give that to Kalin Lucas. First, Reynolds is a shooting guard for Villanova this season. Fisher is clearly their point guard. Second, John Wall's been pretty miserable during conference play. As for Kalin Lucas, no. It's a battle between Lucas and Sherron Collins for most overrated player in the country. And don't forget, I hate Illinois with a passion.
  24. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 21, 2010 -> 02:02 AM) No more Nocioni ?
