  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 06:04 AM) Wise's days are numbered. Although Lillibridge might get optioned down again when we need a 5th starter soon. September call-ups are coming up soon.
  2. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 04:58 AM) Hah, Oakland fans hate AJ too? Oh yeah, for the 2003 playoffs against the Twins.
  3. Huff is absolutely unbearable. Maybe it's good there's no TV tomorrow.
  4. ALEXEI! Thanks Oakland for putting in a LHP.
  5. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 04:52 AM) Ideally, they should just focus it on D-Rose. He's the future of the franchise. You can't focus on him though after all the stuff with him this offseason. Maybe they should have focused on Taj Gibson getting his high school diploma from a diploma mill?
  6. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 04:49 AM) So that Bulls commercial has terrible production values. Nothing like having your marketing plan for a season be based on a series you lost.
  7. QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 04:47 AM) Carlos is looking bad again. It's been just a disasterous season for him. Hopefully he stays healthy so he can get a good offseason in.
  8. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 05:44 AM) Alright, so I have to ask . . . is Paulie having another one good half, one bad half season? He looks very weak at the plate, and just isn't making himself a tough out. I never thought I'd say this, but I'd rather have Kotsay batting against RHP than Konerko
  9. Jermaine swinging at the 3-2 slider like I told him not to!! He's pathetic on 3-2, it seems.
  10. Jeez Jermaine, that 3-1 pitch was the best pitch to hit you'll get all series.
  11. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 05:29 AM) Someone brought it up in chat 2 gays ago, whether this team was more 2003 or 06ish. I'll say 2003 since we've been more frustrating throughout. Let's hope for a different finish. During Interleague play in 2006, that was just about the best performance you'll ever see by a team. We were awesome!
  12. As I say every time I see Wuertz pitch, don't swing at the 3-2 pitch. It will be a slider out of the zone!
  13. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 04:24 AM) Nothing could possibly top the 2003 team in terms of underachieving, but if we don't pick it up, this 2009 version will give it a run. 2006 was way worse than this year. That team seemingly lost a 6 game WC lead at the ASB in no time, and everyone but Dye seemingly quit the last month of the year.
  14. QUOTE (Friend of Nordhagen @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 05:20 AM) Not that they really are, but . . . the White Sox look like a team playing to get its manager fired. Don't get my hopes up!! They really are a team just going through the motions, and our near .500 record illustrates that.
  15. Not having a back-up infielder that can hit from the left side really hurts. If we face any tough righties the next two weeks, it's going to be awful watching Nix have to face them.
  16. Nix is just dreadful against RHP. He has no idea how to hit a low fastball.
  17. QUOTE (BlackBetsy @ Aug 15, 2009 -> 04:13 AM) Very interesting. I like Hudson's potential, but I'm not sure a start right now in the midst of a pennant race is the best idea. I like it more for 2010, as I'm not sure anything we do with the #5 spot will matter for the rest of the year.
  18. CQ got good pitches to hit, but he tried too hard to move the runner over. He was better swinging for the fences there. CQ's hot stretch didn't last long.
  19. Great swing by Rios there. CQ going to have a very hard time moving him over though.
  20. Interesting http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseb...0,2583716.story
  21. It's depressing watching Konerko bat. He doesn't even come close to hitting the ball hard. If Ozzie really wanted to try and get the lead (no manager would), he would have brought Kotsay in to hit there.
