  1. Sweet, their best hitter up as we give them another out.
  2. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 03:50 AM) Man, our defense is scary. Even with Rios, I honestly never feel safe when a ball is hit to the outfield. And there you go
  3. Gosh, that blue on the schedule next week gives me chills.
  4. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 02:44 AM) LOL @ Hawk pulling a JD. Well said!
  5. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 02:42 AM) An RBI from Rios! Woohoo! Shouldn't be an RBI
  6. Very nice, just missed it. Everyone besides Beckham and Konerko has had real nice swings tonight.
  7. Sounds like Tigers just spent 10 million to get Turner, Oliver, and Fields.
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 03:32 AM) The Contreras/Grienke game should be fun. And we have Garcia going tomorrow.
  9. Goodness, sit Konerko down for a week. He's giving us nothing!
  10. Meatballs galore! Pull him sooner than later, as Royals aren't going to stop hitting him hard. I hate how we keep letting the other team's best hitter beat us with an open base.
  11. Weird to keep pitching him on the outside corner when you know he's trying to go that way.
  12. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 02:22 AM) so do we let him go or do we live with his awful D? Let him go! Do you really think he will stay healthy for 162 games next year?
  13. QUOTE (Melissa1334 @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 02:20 AM) so theres 0 chance that pods can be our dh next year? would it be bcuz he wants to play the field, they want thome again, we should have a slugger in the dh spot, etc? i know it kinda sounds dumb, but his bat and speed is still very useful but he just cant field What speed? The one that gets him thrown out on the bases nearly 50 percent of the time (if you take into account pickoffs)?
  14. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 02:20 AM) Yuck. That's his biggest weakness right now (laying off the high fastball).
  15. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 02:12 AM) That was very obviously JD's fault. Dye followed that ball to the point where Rios literally, could do nothing with it. I think what saddens me the most is this was the most visible sign that Dye really is done defensively. We can't put him out their again and expect any less then what we just saw. If Terry Boers is to believed, and he's almost never wrong about Sox stuff, CQ will be in RF next year and Pods in LF with Dye gone.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 02:11 AM) I wasn't kidding when I said the other day that they should just pipe in the Benny Hill music at the stadium whenever our guys field a ball. It's like a f***ing circus. Nothing is easy. I watched the game yesterday with the most optimistic Sox fan in the world, and even he was making comments about how every time the outfielders catch a ball, they seem to have to move their feet at the end instead of being properly underneath the ball.
  17. Big double play, as Buehrle picks up the defense!!
  18. It's bad when your team leads the league in errors and has numerous players with absolutely no range.
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 18, 2009 -> 02:06 AM) Worst defensive team in baseball. Easily. I'm pretty sure only Seattle has more errors in the AL, but they also have some players with amazing range.
