  1. You have to love when the 3 guys who are the future of this organization (hitting) led the offense.
  2. I have a new favorite player not named Gordon
  3. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 04:36 AM) .432 obp with his type of athleticism makes me a happy Rowand. Yep, and he should be stealing every time he gets on base. I don't care if he triples...steal home!
  4. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 03:52 AM) After 05 I got much better at stomaching losses. Not this year, something about this f***in team really gets me It's their demeanor on the field. So many stupid mental errors, no accountability, and seemingly no fight at the end of games.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 03:43 AM) I agree with you. If they were not clutch I would be all over them, because they both seem to have IQs of some American Idol fans, but I can appreciate the players who show up for the high pressure situations. I just appreciate that we can point to specific games where they were the player who had the biggest influence on the Sox winning. It's my biggest issue with Quentin this year. He's been basically non-influential on game's outcomes.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 03:40 AM) I love him as much as you do, just think it's silly to throw one of the clutch players under the bus(Ramirez) when we have other problems. Alexei and Pods have been clutch lately but awful at every other facet of the game. Just like the rest of the year, it just seems nothing can gel all at once.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 03:37 AM) Are you going to debate clutch situations of late? nope
  8. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 03:35 AM) Don't let anyone fool you. He was not good against a very bad team. Our competition only gets better over the next few weeks. That translates to blow out losses with Freddy on the mound. Ozzie was very happy with how Garcia threw the ball. That hanging slider will dominate Boston in Fenway!

QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 04:34 AM) You're right, kid needs a break. I can't recall any days off of late. That's a big hole at 3rd if we don't have Beckham for sure, just do not like how he's been swinging lately. 64 consecutive starts, I believe. Getz's injury has really hurt our versatility.

QUOTE (rangercal @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 04:31 AM) He won 2 games last week for us with his bat late in each of those games. \ How about we b**** about Gordon batting like a p**** of late? Yeah, he was awful offensively in the A's series
  11. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 04:31 AM) It'll be 2010 by that point. We didn't promote Garcia to immediately demote or release him, regardless of his performance tonight, so I'd expect to see a healthy dose of both of those bums. I don't understand how we can try starting Carrasco, Torres and Garcia, yet are seemingly obsessed with avoiding Hudson? Are we afraid he may succeed and present the White Sox with the decision of what to do with Garcia or Contreras? He can't be worst than either of those two. Not to start this again, but it's because Ozzie hates promoting rookies to take the place of veterans. KW had to force Beckham into the lineup and then there was the Poreda stuff.
  12. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 04:28 AM) Nice move by Jeff Cox to send TCQ on a shallow Bloomquist. Our entire coaching staff besides Cooper really is lucky to still have jobs (not counting Ozzie)
  13. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 04:27 AM) 3.0 games back and going in the wrong direction. I can hear the fat lady warming up. What direction are we going? Towards .500, where we've been for 2 months now it seems? Being 3 out with our road trip is more like being 7 or 8 out. We're going to have to start playing a lot better baseball immediately if we want games in September to even matter.
  14. Sweet, that run allowed when there was no reason to face Callaspo is the game winner.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 04:24 AM) Things looked so promising at 4-1 at home versus a bad team. I can't wait to not have to worry about seeing Garcia and Contreras pitch for this team.
  16. Jeez Jermaine, way to overswing. These last 4 innings have been the worst all season.
  17. Pena probably wants to avoid his hanging sliders to this hitter.
  18. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 04:08 AM) We could be out of this race by next weeks end.... Um, yeah. We could be up a game in the standings right now, and that would still have been true. It's the roughest road stretch I can remember.
  19. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 03:06 AM) 4 games in the loss column after tonight. Considering our schedule that might be hard to overcome for the 500 kids. This team doesnt exactly scream long winning streak. How's the Tigers schedule the rest of the way. Their rotation doesn't strike me as the type to have a long losing streak.
  20. QUOTE (bobryansson @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 04:03 AM) If one of my kids had been doing well, pretty intelligent and busting his butt and looking sharp one year, then the next year seemed unmotivated and made numerous mental mistakes, I'd have to wonder what other issues were having an influence in his life. Alexei was pretty bad defensively the 2nd half of last season also.
  21. Tejeda is just dominating us. No one is hitting him hard...of course, doesn't help we're taking strikes and chasing balls.
  22. Alexei is going to play himself out of this organization. You never hear Hawk this vocal about someone's effort.
  23. And this is why not getting to Meche was really bad.
  24. QUOTE (AWhiteSoxinNJ @ Aug 19, 2009 -> 03:31 AM) an Ozzie blow up? Can someone yell at him also then?
  25. Just went back and watched some of Garcia's outing. Way, way too many hangers. He also did himself no favors by booting that easy comebacker by Bloomquist.
