  1. Wade has just amazing control of his fastball.
  2. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:01 AM) Marmol made Lou look like a fool last playoff season. I've said that Reynolds hitting a homer against Marmol in game 1 is the most shocking homer I've ever seen.
  3. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 03:50 AM) On a cold night they should have left him in, IMHO. Nah, they were starting to hit him hard. They're going with a 3 man rotation, so they'd have to save him for game 5.
  4. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:48 AM) What's the situation? 3 straight hits, 7-1, 1st and 3rd, 2 outs.
  5. Fantastic outing by Billingsley. His stuff was filthy. Big out here for whoever is relieving, can't let the Cubs get back into this game.
  6. Billingsley seems to have lost it this inning. 3 very deep fly balls have been hit against him.
  7. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:43 AM) .236 BA in 2005 Well, he homered against Contreras.
  8. They just showed that in 1999, the Indians and Red Sox played a Game 5. I remember watching that game, and our very own Jim Thome hit one of the longest homers I've ever seen against Saberhagen. That was the game Pedro came in and dominated in relief.
  9. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:43 AM) Who was the s***ty shortstop I am getting them confused. Adam Everett?
  10. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 03:41 AM) You realize it is Mike Lamb you are talking about right? He wasn't terrible then.
  11. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:39 AM) Cotts, Politte, and Hermanson all sold their souls for 2005, and should be thanked. After watching it 1000 times, I still don't know how Mike Lamb missed that 3rd strike against Cotts in Game 1.
  12. If you're a Friday Night Lights fan with Directv, don't forget it starts tomorrow.
  13. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 03:28 AM) I'd actually say I'm a little bit more nervous about tomorrow's Sox game than today's, but quite frankly, if the Sox lose to a better team, I can live with that, and I'm convinced the Rays are a better team. I just did not want to see the Sox lose to the Twins. See, this is another post that I completely agree with. No matter what happens in the postseason, the tiebreak game will be such a fantastic memory. I'm so happy I was there.
  14. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:26 AM) 6-0 in the 7th? this game is over SHUT UP!
  15. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:23 AM) Cubs fans get ripped on all the time for not watching the game, going to Wrigley just to drink, blah blah blah. The Sox fans rep for caring more about Cubs than the Sox IMO is on the same level, and just as embarrassing. That's fine, I respect that philosophy. I'll be able to watch our game tomorrow, so I'm sure the anxiety will be there.
  16. Shouldn't Piniella pull Zambrano for a possible start in game 5?
  17. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:22 AM) That's such a Cubs esque statement to make. World Series or bust. Every season. Ugh. You should know my style enough to know I'm one of the most intense Sox fans there is. However, I just feel like we sold our soul to win 3 straight games after the terrible stretch.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 03:20 AM) This is how I feel. Don't get me wrong, I will take it very hard if we lose tomorrow, but this is making my day. Want to hear something sad? I was more anxious for this game than the Sox game today. Maybe it's cause I knew I wouldn't see the Sox game on tv.
  19. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 03:19 AM) The way I look at it is that we are playing with the house's money,we weren't expected to win the AL central and here we are,we still got a shot vs the Devil Rays tomorrow...on the other hand the Cubs had the best record in the NL and home field advantage and expected to at least get to the WS I absolutely, positively support this statement. For my money, the Tuesday game was our World Series.
  20. QUOTE (santo=dorf @ Oct 3, 2008 -> 04:17 AM) Too bad the ump blew it. It would've been cool to see every Cubs player in the infield make an error. BTW, thanks for calling me a dips*** after Thome's homer.
  21. This is a big inning for Billingsley. He can't let the Cubs feel like they're back in the game.
  22. Does the 2nd base umpire have money on the Cubs? Two terrible calls tonight.
