I agree that Podsednik could use the day off, but Kotsay leading off??? Really????I hope Posada's ready for some speed on the bases today!

I like it, good job Ozzie!

I'm fine with the lineup. Kostay had some nice swings yesterday but hit them right to someone. Would people prefer Wise leading off?

Edited by BigSqwert

I hope Swisher gets booed out the stadium. Dirty .225

I would prefer Getz in there, but after the offensive display we have shown in the past 7 games, I guess we might as well try anything

I LIKE IT!

:gosox1:

hmmmm interesting. cant say i love kotsay in the leadoff but anyone is better than wise. hope it works out. we nee a win!

Kotsay in center?

This isn't 2005 Ozzie...

If Kotsay can play a competent CF, then there really is no reason to have Wise on this team.

Leaving for the game in about 30 minutes.

People going to the game, don't forget your giant foam syringes for 'b**** Tits'.

Go Sox!

I like our chances this series. I don't know why, but I think we take 3 of 4.

Pods has been highly ineffective at stealing this year (which, along with his defense, have been his only real downsides), to the point where his even attempting it is detrimental. So on that aspect of the game, a guy who never steals, is an upgrade.

If Pods needs a day off, which is probably a good thing for him occasionally, then Kotsay is not a bad choice. Looked pretty decent his last couple at bats last night.

And, he's already played the Yankees 8 times this year...so hopefully, there's some familiarity there.

He even single-handedly beat them once in May when the rest of the team had the flu.

If he beats them tonight, I'll photoshop Kotsay's head onto your avatar.

Its not a unicorn, it is a horse with a sword on its head.

Hope not - he hit a gw-hr in the only game I got to go at The Cell last year.

White Sox call up Lillibridge in case Ramirez goes on the DL

July 30, 2009, 3:55 PM

By: Bruce Levine

The Chicago White Sox have called up Brent Lillibridge from Triple-A Charlotte to wait and see if Alexei Ramirez has responded from treatment or must go on the disabled list.

Ramirez injured his left ankle in Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Twins. He had an MRI today. Results are unknown at this time. As of 3:50, Ramirez walked into the clubhouse and was being checked out by the Sox training staff.

Ha, Levine needs to realize what he's saying. LOLibridge can't be called up without a roster spot.

I wonder if Cowley will have the balls to say something to Swisher's face. After all the s*** he's written about him over the last year.
