  1. Jermaine's getting underneath a lot of great pitches to hit.
  2. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 12:59 AM) Good to see Clayton come back strong after the first batter. agreed, let's get some runs this inning.
  3. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 12:56 AM) Well yeah, but in terms of being just a very good all around player. As someone who isn't too familiar with good-looking prospects who are in other teams' systems, do they have any other nice pieces down there? Another guy they got in the Bedard trade, Tillman, is looking good on the mound.
  4. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 12:53 AM) Many say Wieters is similar to Mauer. I'm glad for Baltimore- like Hawk said earlier, it's a great baseball city and their fans are starving. Wieters has a lot more power. I don't see Richard getting out of this inning with the game tied.
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 01:50 AM) Wieters and Jones are 2 nice pieces to rebuild off of for the O's. Thank Quentin the Cubs didn't draft Wieters.
  6. It's all about speed so far tonight. PK can't score on a 2 out double, Griffey can't catch a soft liner, and Orioles showing range in the outfield and scoring from 2nd on a single.
  7. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 12:48 AM) Why did Crede even dive at the ball Hernandez hit? It was a slow chopper that could have been easily reached out for. I hate Crede- he just isn't very good. God forbid scoring runs on a medicore pitcher, too. Why was he playing even with the bag?
  8. Sickening...why does Richard go away from his change-up? Good thing we took Game 1 for granted.
  9. About time to take Richard out. His slider is just a terrible, terrible pitch.
  10. Yay, more poor range by our defense. Why do our 3rd basemen play so close?
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 26, 2008 -> 01:34 AM) Why did we bring him back up? Wasn't he like 0 for ever down there? I don't get it, especially to face a LHP.
  12. QUOTE (letsgoarow @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 11:57 PM) i would rather alexi at 2b and uribe at short I'd rather OC be sent back to Colombia.
  13. Milkman and I are in chat....please feel free to join us.
  14. Wait, what happened to Richard starting? I like a lefty going against Baltimore much more than a righty.
  15. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 11:16 PM) I've been one of Ozzie's biggest defenders all year, as people like fathom among others would tell you because I've defended him in a lot of threads this season, but you can't defend what he did tonight. It was just atrocious. Just put the 9 best players possible on the field, and let them hit away until there's 27 outs against them. Smallball has created so many damn unproductive outs lately.

QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 11:28 PM) I feel dirty after this loss. No way Twins lose to Bautista either. Twins keep getting the s***ty Mariners starters. They dominated those guys last time.

QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 11:15 PM) Throw an inside strike, not some outside corner nipper that might make it 3-0 or the guy hits it the other way. Carrasco doesn't throw much straight, and from what I've seen, he likes to keep everything on the outer half to righties and inside to lefties. I hate HoRam, as he's just not of high caliber.

Just watched the DVR of the CQ at bat to lead off today. How was that not a homer?
