  1. Honestly, when we have CQ and Anderson on the bench, there's no reason in the world to let Griffey face a side-arming lefty. It's fine though, this game was lost by Danks.
  2. QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 12:53 AM) Difference is the O's have gotten 4 runs home with 2 outs while we've left runners on with 2 outs Orioles have played excellent defense tonight, while the defense for the Sox has been very poor (absolutely no range by OC, Swisher, and Griffey).
  3. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:51 AM) wish the sox knew how to draft pitching - we burned a number one pick on this guy? What's shocking is people actually clamor to see him start again.
  4. QUOTE (Sox It To Em @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:51 AM) f***ing great. One back after tonight. Oh well. You have to view 2/4 on the road as a success. Stop saying 2 out of 3.
  5. Wow, what a freaking joke. This defense is pathetic. Look how deep Griffey was playing JUAN f***ING CASTRO!
  6. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 01:42 AM) You asked what happened earlier in the thread. Are you watching the game, or just following online? I'm watching...have work to do at home though that takes me out of the den so I missed some stuff.
  7. Big outs there to keep us in the game. What's the actual radar looking for Baltimore?
  8. BTW, our 3rd basemen are 1 for their last 18.
  9. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 11:58 PM) robbed! good base running by AJ. i'm actually shocked he got to 3rd on that What happened?
  10. QUOTE (soxfan3530 @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 11:49 PM) danks not on today at all. He just hasn't been the same since Youkilis broke his heart.
  11. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 11:49 PM) all this with two outs.... ugh You deserve to give up runs if you walk the #8 hitter in front of Juan Castro.
  12. Let's be honest, if we can't score more than 1 run against Liz tonight, we don't deserve to win.
  13. QUOTE (SoxFanForever @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 11:02 PM) Danks leaving a lot of pitches up early. Results aside, his stuff hasn't been good his last two starts.
  14. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 11:30 PM) What the M's have done this series has been MORE than ideal. I couldn't even imagine a sweep of the Twins. Yeah, it's just too bad Morrow's in the minors. Green's been horrible over the last few months.
  15. Twins in great position to win this game after a horses*** effort by Sean Green.
  16. QUOTE (The Critic @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 04:14 PM) I look forward to that glorious day when I am the only non-moderator on this site. That day is coming, my friends..... I think I'm in the same boat.
  17. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 05:45 PM) Someone mentioned my biggest thing. Him being so scared of contact during DPs that has resulted in some mistakes is just wimpy to me. THis is the white sox not the... I don't even know I have a much bigger issue with him getting in front of hard hit grounders that land right in front of him. He's made three terrible plays on balls hit just like this (opening day, at Minnesota last month, and the Upton ball from Saturday).
  18. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 06:08 PM) Anyone who brings up OC's comments about Scioscia being the best manager he has played under... Hope no one who dislikes that has also criticized Guillen's in-game managing. If so, then you're likely agreeing with Orlando, no? It's called being a professional. Nothing like disrespecting your new manager a few months after joining the team.
  19. I know I overreact in my dislike for certain players. However, when Balta, Kalapse, Santo, and Tony all agree with me, then I feel like the hatred is justified.
  20. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 05:15 AM) This is the ball game right here. Mauer and and Morneau up with 1 out. Please pitch around Morneau.
