  1. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 01:45 AM) I'm gonna take the under. He looks awesome tonight. Agreed, if he has this type of control, you tip your cap. Our hitters do look a little tired though, which is bound to happen. Losing games like tonight or this coming Monday are fine....but it's why you can't let the like of Rad Liz and Lance Cormier/Rocky Cherry defeat you.
  2. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 12:44 AM) PULL the f***ing ball Crede! I love it...every time I see that, I think of you.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 12:42 AM) Who do you want, Broadway or Richard? Considering it would be in the ALCS, I'll take my chance with Javy then. The chances that both Sox teams makes it to the ALCS is very slim.
  4. What a terrible pitch by Vazquez. He went from throwing great offspeed pitches tonight to having his worst inning with the offspeed pitch of the season.
  5. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 01:34 AM) When he's on, I figure Javy's always going to give up 3-4 runs against good teams, 0-2 against scrubs. I just hoped the Sox would be able to score tonight, but it looks like DK has their #. Not good for playoffs. Considering he's clearly the #4 starter on our roster, I could careless about Javy's potential in the playoffs.
  6. Javy's hung an offspeed pitch twice tonight, and it was both with 2 strikes to Ortiz. Let's go Oakland!
  7. Tony....you see that interaction between OC and Pedroia?
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 12:28 AM) I like our chances in a battle of the bullpens At this rate, it's Dice-K for 8 and Papelboner for the 9th.
  9. For Joe Crede's sake, I really hope 1-0 isn't the final score tonight.
  10. Sweet....swinging at balls, and taking strikes. How many 3-2 offspeed pitches can Swisher strike out on this week?
  11. Beckham seems to be going 0 for every game now, but Danks' extra base ability is very promising.
  12. After 4 innings, this offense looks as lifeless as it did on Wednesday. No reason in the world for Thome to be swinging at 1st pitch slider from Dice-K after a walk.
  13. Javy has his best offspeed stuff of the season. Time for the offense to get runs...Dick-K is giving us plenty of hittable fastballs.
  14. Crede just look ridiculous at the plate. Why couldn't he have just stayed on the freaking DL?
  15. Defense aside, the Sox need to start getting some offensive production from the 3rd base position.
  16. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 29, 2008 -> 11:37 PM) Let me propose this. Crede's range on diving plays is a more helpful trait than anything Uribe provides. Offense or Defense. False...Uribe's ability to make routine plays is a more helpful trait than anything Crede provides.
  17. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Aug 29, 2008 -> 11:33 PM) I already do not like the tone of this game. From pitch one. I guess Dice-K is the reincarnation of Greg Maddux.
  18. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 12:31 AM) OMG @ THAT 0-2 STRIKE TO SWISHER. WOW. Someone's getting tossed tonight.
  19. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 30, 2008 -> 12:14 AM) well he hasnt been bad this year because of bad judgments like that one he's been bad in my view b/c he's hurt and not getting off the throws like he used to His judgment has been awful on when to charge choppers. I'm actually surprised he made that play, as he's booted about 10 plays similar to that.
  20. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 29, 2008 -> 11:12 PM) Wow, what a joke. Get your head out of your ass Crede. I can't believe some people still try to argue that he's a good defensive player.
  21. Is Crede that freaking stupid? Throw the ball home!
  22. Javy looks just horrific tonight. Going back to last game, that's 6 in a row he's allowed to reach base.
  23. I hate Angel Hernandez...he's such a POS. Anyways, I hope our hitters realize there's a small strike zone tonight.
