  1. The 1, 2, 6, 7, and 8 hitters looks terrible at the plate.
  2. Please lose the uppercut swing OC. Did his agent tell him over the ASB that he needs to hit more homers?
  3. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 07:40 PM) At this point, I am having a hard time seeing an area where the Sox are better than the Twins. Probably bullpen but that's it. With Jenks and Linebrink's health in question, the Twins bullpen gets the edge. Nathan is just phenomenal.
  4. I have a bad feeling our starting pitching will be in the bottom half in ERA during the 2nd half of the season.
  5. QUOTE (G&T @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 07:35 PM) Crede got 2 cookies. How does he barely make contact with both? His swing is way too long. I don't know if those runs will matter, as Danks has pathetic mechanics today. He's falling off the mound violently again, like he did the 2nd half of last season.
  6. Wow, you f***ing suck Crede! I can't wait for your overrated ass to sign with another team this offseason.
  7. That 1-1 pitch was a great pitch to hit for Crede.
  8. This pitcher is the perfect speed for Crede to launch one against.
  9. QUOTE (robin23 @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 06:23 PM) This pitcher is awful, make some solid contact. AJP has looked miserable at the plate this weekend. It makes no sense to keep him in the #2 spot. When a player is clapping when they hit a pop up to the left side, you know they're not right at the plate.
  10. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 07:20 PM) who is going to start the Sox in 2nd place thread after todays games??? I'm guessing whitesoxbrian
  11. QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 07:17 PM) Great throw Swish He's just a bad baseball player.
  12. f***ing awful stuff from Danks. Not only that, but what a pathetic throw by Swisher in CF.
  13. QUOTE (Reddy @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 06:08 PM) methinks we're in for a rough stretch... I couldn't agree more. KW needs to find us another arm, if not two.
  14. Nice pitch to Olivo on the 2-2. Please, please get Gload out here.
  15. Danks velocity is way down it seems, as a lot of pitches in the 88 mph range.
  16. I don't mean this in a negative way at all, but has one team ever had as many African-Americans on them as the Brewers do? Fielder, C.C., Hall, Cameron, Weeks, Durham.
  17. I'm sure the thinking is that Carrasco looked good vs the Rangers last time.
  18. I'd really like to see Ramirez move into the 7th spot to break up the PK/Swisher hole in the lineup.
  19. QUOTE (thedoctor @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 06:03 PM) i'm aware of his recent struggles. he's struggled before then stepped in and made strong spot starts, no? Considering this spot in the rotation gets the Rangers, Tigers, and Twins in the next 3 games, it's important that KW finds a suitable replacement.
  20. QUOTE (thedoctor @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 05:55 PM) i don't see why masset as a stopgap starter would be scary. Masset has been awful lately, outside of his game at Texas.
  21. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jul 20, 2008 -> 04:23 PM) In the past couple of weeks KW went from a guy who if he did nothing by the deadline people would have understood, but now has several questions to ponder. I just hope he doesn't call for a meeting with Konerko and Thome. Great point, especially considering we're one game away from not being able to use the excuse that why should a first place team make changes?
  22. I wonder if the Linebrink stuff is more serious, but we're keeping it quiet prior to making a trade for a reliever?
  23. Considering how much the Sox hated Rauch's attitude, I would be shocked if he was back with the organization. I have a feeling the A.J. Burnett rumors will pick up.
