  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 01:19 AM) A couple of Joe's oppo homers, I believer, were in his first year or two up, so they have been even fewer and far between. When he first came up, Hawk used to rave about his opposite field power. That was what he supposedly worked on his last year in the minors.
  2. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 01:16 AM) Joe Crede: 4 career opposite field HRs in 2724 career ABs. Josh Fields: 5 career opposite field HRs in 393 career ABs. Less than 1/10 of Joe Crede's career homeruns have been hit between center field and the right field foul pole. Crede's blasted some balls to center field this season that have been caught at the track. He's not as bad as OC, who has severe WTP to dead center.
  3. Where are you finding these stats?
  4. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 02:11 AM) I love Danks. Congrats again KW. I do not love Swish. Seems like a nice guy, though. Swisher's best attribute is his personality. However, usually when you say that about someone, that means they're a fat girl.
  5. And I assume Fields had at least 4 oppo field homers last year?
  6. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 01:09 AM) Crede has 124 career homeruns, a grand total of 4 of those homers have been hit between right center and right field. It makes zero sense. Awesome stuff, thanks! I remember one of those was a very cheap homer down the right field line vs the Cubs in 2005.
  7. What is the deal with Crede just trying to hit it to right field? He has no power the opposite way, so it makes no sense. Crede and Swisher are killing this offense tonight.
  8. Terrible by Swisher...good to know he's trying to hit it as far as possible in batting practice.
  9. He hit that ball so damn hard. I love the fact he adjusted to the 2 strike inside slider.
  10. Starz with quite the movie on tonight...and I'm not talking about Co-ed Confidential.
  11. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 12:53 AM) Yes, Crawford especially. However, without breaking out the actual stats, Upton and Crawford probably have 5 hits combined in the last 5-6 days. I have both on fantasy. You know what, I figured that when you responded so quickly. I know Pena's batting average has been awful this season as well. I hope they don't think Griffey Jr. is the answer.
  12. QUOTE (Maxwell @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 01:53 AM) Runs through the hold up sign, good job. I used to do that on occasion. So did Pierre Pierce.
  13. CQ again! Very nice running by OC, Boggs fielded that to the side.
  14. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 12:49 AM) Upton and Crawford have been non-existent this last week. You get those two guys going like they should, you don't need much else. Haven't their numbers been down all season compared to last year?
  15. QUOTE (tommy @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 01:46 AM) Anyone knows what's going on with Tampa Rays? They desperately need a boost for their offense.
  16. Good inning for Danks...it pisses me off that he didn't make the all-star game, while Crede did.
  17. QUOTE (BaseballNick @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 01:40 AM) I wish it worked like that too, but it doesn't. If you want to keep/get a good player, you have to overpay (eg Torii Hunter). Says who? The Cubs had no problem signing Aramis and D. Lee to fair market extensions, same goes for the Sox with Buehrle, Dye, etc.
  18. Crede continues to be worthless for this team. In his last 70 at bats, he has 5 RBI.
  19. QUOTE (BaseballNick @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 01:36 AM) You guys are something else with your hatred for Michael Young. The guy has hit over .300 six years in a row. Every home town scorer looks out for his team and makes some favorable calls every now and then. Sure that should have been an error but the breaks go both ways in a 162 game season. I don't hate him...I'd take him on the Sox (but for 10 mil, not 16)
  20. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 13, 2008 -> 12:35 AM) Should be interesting to see what he gets Teixeira this offseason especially if he finishes with the .850 OPS he's sporting right now. Yankees are going to give Tex way too much money.
