So many people forget how mediocre the Sox offense was for portions of the 2005 season. The reason this team has a revolving 5th starter spot is due to an injury. The 2005 Sox had a much worse 5th starter situation coming into that year, and then Duque goes and gets hurt. Thankfully, McCarthy was able to pick up some HUGE victories.

On the bright side, OC had some good at bats tonight. Maybe he'll realize it's his last month for his salary drive.

Richard will make a good 6th/7th inning reliever down the road. It's just when teams see him the second time through the lineup, they realize he's just not very good.
