The Swisher trade was a right size, wrong shape transaction. It was a brilliant move by KW to get rid of 3 top prospects that the organization has huge questions about. However, it's just too bad those resources went for Swisher and not someone who would be more productive at this point of the season.

Tigers keep coming back tonight, as their game is tied at 7 in the 8th inning. A healthy Sheffield makes their lineup just scary as hell.

Anyone have a list of starting pitchers who have shut us out this season (or at least started the game)?

Let Thome bat...guaranteed homer. Considering how some of the guys like Stults and Burress have dominated us this season, it would be scary to see what Johan would do to this lineup.

The 100th error of the season for our 3rd basemen. Seriously, get Floyd out of the game. No reason for him to have to deal with a huge implosion.

Honestly, I'm not worried about the Twins long term. I don't believe they have the starting pitching to last the rest of the season. As a scout told my brother, if the Twins win, it's more because the Sox and Tigers struggled during the 2nd half of the season than the Twins going out and running away with the division.

Gavin Floyd needs to hold runners on better. He doesn't deserve the Greg Maddux treatment yet.

This game has a similar feel to the Cubs game from Sunday night.
