  1. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 11:24 PM) Come on Sean Green and then Brandon Morrow!! Get those pirahnas out. Putz...Morrow's in the minors
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 11:24 PM) I love Frank but I can't believe we walked him. Dumb pitch selection...Frank will never chase that pitch.
  3. Mercy OC...not exactly smooth.
  4. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 11:18 PM) Again, we really want to lose this game. Our offense scores early and then shuts down. Let's hope Danks is still out there and can get three more outs. Then give it to Thornton and Jenks. I think you have to pull Danks.
  5. Those were 3 of the worst at bats in succession I've seen all year. We've had the leadoff man on in 6 of 7 innings today.
  6. Walking PK to get to Ramirez? Thank you
  7. But hey, Griffey Jr. had a single today!
  8. Just a pathetic at bat by Jermaine.
  9. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 10:06 PM) Operative word against Casilla (what was his original name before his Visa thing?) is patience. Take 1 strike at least. Not with CQ up
  10. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 10:06 PM) Operative word against Casilla (what was his original name before his Visa thing?) is patience. Take 1 strike at least. Jairo Garcia
  11. Great inning for Danks!!
  12. The more I hear Leo Mazzone analyze, the more I think that Smoltz, Glavine, and Maddux would have been great even if Nardi Contreras was their pitching coach.
  13. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 10:02 PM) I was going to make a smart remark about Swisher and Konerko's bating averages meting each other real soon, but you say he hit it hard at least? No...it was about as soft a chopper as you can hit. Just a pathetic swing on a 2-0 pitch.
  14. Swisher's had multiple hits in multiple games only twice this season.
  15. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 10:01 PM) That's a horrid last two atbats He's just a bad hitter.
  16. Swisher hits a "rocket" at 2nd base. Is that 4 times today we've had 1st and 2nd with 1 out?
  17. Alexei really needs to calm down on 2nd base. There's no way that's not distracting.
  18. Our hitters foul off the hit-and-run pitch more than any team I've ever seen.
  19. Danks has made the big pitch when he's had to. Smith will be out of the game, as we'll face a very good A's bullpen from here on out (besides Embree and Street).
  20. QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 10:48 PM) Common Danks, stop walking guys. I missed the first few innings, but he seems to have no command of his fastball tonight.
  21. Of course, Seattle is putting Silva on the DL so we won't face him next week.
  22. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 09:29 PM) Interesting... I actually think Richard will do decent in relief.
  23. Big play!!!
  24. Wait, when did Ramirez drop a ball this inning?
  25. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Aug 16, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) Man I thought for sure we would have a pretty good defense but they have been such a letdown this season. It goes unnoticed with the rest of the defensive blunders, but Alexei's defense has been brutal since the ASB.
