  1. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 04:10 AM) Um, Brian Anderson is winning the game in the bottom of this inning. It's fate. Have to find a way to face a Royals pitcher not named Ramirez or Soria.
  2. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 03:09 AM) Bad feeling Tehan is going to go yard. almost
  3. Pull baseball that inning. Hopefully we see Logan instead of Loaiza.
  4. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 04:04 AM) Time to earn your keep Kong. Our hitters are taking some very good pitches to hit.
  5. Jenks starting to throw that change-up more. I would have loved to see some games of his when he was a starter. Good inning for Jenks, let's go CQ! I want to see a bat flip!
  6. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 02:57 AM) While Buck simply proceeds to turn around and tag Alexei out. Give me a break. The ball tricked away from Buck, there was still time to go back and touch the plate. The job for the on deck hitter is to get behind the catcher (first base side) and point to where the hitter needs to slide to. If you look at the replay, PK was on the 3rd base side still. It all happened so quickly though, it's just fundamentals that you hope they learn from.
  7. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 03:55 AM) His fastball is moving down. They are hitting the ball on the ground. Its not like they hit laser beams off of him. The hardest hit was a bouncer that was pounded 3 feet in front of the plate. The DeJesus at bat was one where he needed to try and get the strike out though instead of giving him that first pitch to hit.
  8. QUOTE (JFields27 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 03:53 AM) So who wants to say that Alexei not touching home came back to kill us? haha I want to watch the game but so drawn to the S Cup If PK was where he's supposed to be, maybe he would have known to go back and touch the plate.
  9. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 03:52 AM) I expect a thread about the lack of velocity, he continuing decline, or how we need to replace him. He really has to start mixing up his pitch selection on the first pitch. His fastball is not his best pitch anymore, and it's pretty average for a reliever.
  10. QUOTE (shawnhillegas @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 03:49 AM) In all fairness, that was a pretty weak blown save Who says K's aren't important?
  11. Another nice play by Ramirez. Let's win this game.
  12. And what do you know, another first pitch fastball. MIX IT UP JENKS!
  13. 2 on, no outs...Jenks can't keep piping these first pitch fastballs at 93 mph.
  14. Crap, infield single brings the tying run to plate. Besides the Orioles, the Royals might have as much success against Jenks as anyone.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 03:35 AM) Wonder if he has the $100 offer up again. I was wondering if that pitch up and in to Dye was intentional.
  16. Come on Scotty....I wish we had Logan up to face Teahen.
  17. Linebrink can thank the ump for that K.
  18. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 03:16 AM) Amazing what a good bullpen can do to a manager. True, but also I like the fact he took Masset out after that big batter. His confidence will be sky high next time.
  19. QUOTE (lostfan @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 03:16 AM) So I just checked the line, apparently Danks was just 1 out short of a QS... I guess I'll take it. Coulda done without the whole loading the bases deal though. The fact he's only had two games where he's allowed more than 2 runs is amazing.
  20. Interesting hit, but I'll take it. AJP's had two good pitches to hit...how about a flare?
  21. OC has them where he wants them. 2 outs with RISP!
