  1. Crede with some great swings tonight.
  2. Does Masset start the 7th, or do you go with Thornton?
  3. I command you to get Buck out and maintain the 3-2 lead!
  4. QUOTE (JFields27 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 01:45 AM) Did Danks just "F U" the ump? thats pretty clutch Oh yes he did
  5. Go to the pen. I don't like Masset in the role of having to throw strikes, but hopefully he impresses.
  6. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 01:43 AM) Relaxed guy, not too uptight. Throws hard like you said with the fastball, got some wicked movement at times, mostly sinking. Also, commands his fastball very well. Slider is wicked, developing changeup that is average now, that can get to solid. He is a gamer who works hard no matter the stuff he has. No real mental or outside problems, but delivery is little flawed according to scouts, but some says he will be fine. Small in stature for a big-time pitcher. Listed at 6-3 ish and 195 on MU's website. Prolly closer to 6-1 and 180. Has all the makings on an ace, but at worst could be a game-changing reliever is all else fails. Wears his hat in an obnoxious manner.
  7. Big out...make a good pitch to Teahen here. He's had some clutch hits vs the Sox in the past.
  8. I wish we had Wassermann still on the roster to face Olivo here.
  9. Swisher playing incredible deep. This is not the guy we want to see at the plate.
  10. QUOTE (illinilaw08 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 02:37 AM) Following the game on gamecast - what happened to prevent the Sox from getting the 4th run? Ramirez never touched home on a play at the plate. He easily beat the throw, but Buck did a good job of blocking the plate. Ramirez never went back to touch it, and KC appealed.
  11. And now KC with the chance to get the momentum back. Danks has got to keep these hangers down.
  12. Nice 3-1 pop up by PK. Were the boo birds for him or the ump?
  13. If you look at the replay, PK was out of position for the play at the plate.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 02:31 AM) I know, it just seemed like an odd reaction to the Sox taking the lead. Sorry, I was just reading the Bulls draft thread on another site, and made me think of this.
  15. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 01:30 AM) What was that? He never called safe. They can appeal here.
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 01:27 AM) So this is how you respond to us taking the lead? I might not know much...but I know you can't trade draft picks like in the NBA or NFL.
  17. Again, why no hit-and-run with Ramirez on and OC up?
  18. Do you think we can make a trade prior to the draft tomorrow to get some offense in return for our 8th pick?
  19. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 01:19 AM) I do have some inside on Crow. He wants money, but nothing outrageous and won't be signing likely till August 15 (the deadline). His top two teams to be drafted by are the Rays and Royals, but that ain't happening. All I know is that he wants fair money, nothing outrageous and there is a 1% chance at best he heads bacl to school or does a Scherzer route. When you have the 8th pick, most of the guys you're interested in have money demands. Let's hope we get him tomorrow!
  20. Nice of Danks to get us back in the dugout. The crowd still has a buzz to it.
  21. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 02:21 AM) When you think about how high up that ball was when it actually hit something, that ball is easily over 500 when you figure where it would have landed. On a windy day at Wrigley, that ball threatens the scoreboard.
  22. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 02:19 AM) Someone should of pushed that guy onto the field so he could of gotten kicked out. Careful, he might like having a guy behind him.
