  1. Twins came back to tie it. Of course, their inning started with Baker getting a hit.
  2. Can't be walking guys with 2 outs and no one on. That's the type of stuff that gets Danks pulled after 6 innings.
  3. Walker might want to tell Crede to shorten his swing up. It's been so long for a while, but he'll hit the occasional homer, so I guess all is well in his mind.
  4. Crede with a worthless game going so far. This team gets so f***ing tight at the plate with RISP. What's that, like 12 base runners in 5 innings, and only 2 runs.
  5. Tigers win on a bases loaded walk. I think Sheffield used the time on the DL to find his "Clear" distributor.
  6. What happened on Berroa's fielder choice?
  7. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 08:18 PM) It wasn't a squeeze. Danks was doing exactly what you wanted Ozzie to be calling, he just hit it basically off homeplate, and it was a double play. Ram had no where to go. I meant on the Hall single. If Danks hit into a bunt DP the way it sounds, that's not Ozzie's fault at all. Time for Sox to keep the momentum.
  8. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 08:12 PM) Farmer thinks bad call by Cox not sending him Hall needs more at-bats Butcher Boy. Could Ramirez have scored?
  9. Can someone explain what happened with the Danks AB?
  10. Tigers won....Sheffield looks fantastic at the plate. Just a horrible day of baseball.
  11. The Swisher trade was a right size, wrong shape transaction. It was a brilliant move by KW to get rid of 3 top prospects that the organization has huge questions about. However, it's just too bad those resources went for Swisher and not someone who would be more productive at this point of the season.
  12. Tigers keep coming back tonight, as their game is tied at 7 in the 8th inning. A healthy Sheffield makes their lineup just scary as hell.
  13. Anyone have a list of starting pitchers who have shut us out this season (or at least started the game)?
  14. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 04:28 AM) Are you kidding me? Amen
  15. 2nd time in two games that the game was theoretically over after the 3rd batter of the game for the opposition.
  16. Let Thome bat...guaranteed homer. Considering how some of the guys like Stults and Burress have dominated us this season, it would be scary to see what Johan would do to this lineup.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 05:22 AM) Agreed. However, I do fault KW for not giving Torii Hunter the money the huge contract. Why would you want him for all that money? He's not exactly been great this season.
  18. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 05:18 AM) Every time I b**** about Swisher somebody rips me with some wild stats saying how well he's doing. Do you guys think he simply can't hit the baseball? I know he got hot that one week when he hit the 2 homers in one game and it seemed exciting, but don't you agree with me this guy just ain't the answer?? I don't dare bring up Rowand's name, but can't we get some center fielder (first baseman with Paulie out) who can hit the ball on a consistent basis?? We'd be a better team if we had Rowand in CF than Swisher, but I don't fault KW for not going after him with the huge contract.
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 05:08 AM) Not only am I hating the offense, the pitching hasn't exactly done it's job as of late, either. And you're right about the magical part. 2 weeks ago, people were comparing this team to the 2005 team (even though I didn't exactly agree with that then, either) and were thinking up the possibility of a Cubs/Sox World Series. Now, from the looks of this current team and the ineptitude of KW to get up off his @$ and make a splash for a big time hitter/pitcher, it looks as if we'll be lucky to finish in 2nd place. Please tell me what moves KW can make? We have the worst farm system in baseball. This roster is better than the Twins...it's up to them to hold off the Tigers.
  20. I hate Jason Isringhausen. Tigers about to take the lead against one of the worst pitchers in baseball this season.
  21. The 100th error of the season for our 3rd basemen. Seriously, get Floyd out of the game. No reason for him to have to deal with a huge implosion.
  22. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 04:47 AM) Its going to get ugly before it gets better. After the cubs, we get Laffey, Lee and Sabathia and then the Oakland As. Those pitching staffs against our rotten offense is ugly. We need to find a way to strengthen the lineup against LHP. With Swisher being terrible against southpaws, Anderson pretty useless, and Crede having shocking splits, it's hard to see where we can improve.
  23. So why is Floyd still out there? Why not put in Russell or Masset?
  24. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ Jun 26, 2008 -> 04:40 AM) I am starting to get the idea that our pitching isn't all that great either. I absolutely agree with this....I can't believe how stressful their innings have been, and what type of stress that's put on their arms so far.
  25. Twins with 4 run lead now...it would be really nice if we were still in the lead after the weekend.
