  1. I must be the only one who's not excited that Uribe is going to be released. If we had a suitable replacement, that would be fine. However, seeing Ozuna and Ramirez there for another month isn't exactly an upgrade.
  2. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 6, 2008 -> 02:50 AM) Ramirez and Russell Ozuna!
  3. It would only be fitting if Uribe was canned after getting 2 hits.
  4. Nothing really. 2nd base is the only possible spot to upgrade, and I really hope they don't get Brian Roberts. As Boers and Bernstein frequently say, KW signed up for the same offensive structure as last year when he re-signed Dye, and decided to keep the 3/4/5/6 all together. I won't even go into how pathetic OC is.
  5. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ May 6, 2008 -> 01:51 AM) Pablo has to hit there, because there was literally NO ONE on the bench at that point. Crede is technically available, but he was hurting bad enough that he wasn't even in the dugout. Which brings up the question I asked 5 days ago... why the hell did they bring up Russell instead of Getz/Bourgeois/Owens? or that Josh Fields character.
  6. Seriously, just let AJ leadoff. At least we know it won't impact his aggressiveness. At this point, Ozzie has to loosen the team up. His rants are tired and the team has played "corpseball" for more than two weeks now.
  7. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 6, 2008 -> 02:47 AM) Why not PH Uribe there? We also missed the guy who can not travel. Ozuna needs to be released immediately. That was a straight fastball belt high down the middle. There has to be better players than him. His once neat ability is gone. Uribe
  8. QUOTE (RME JICO @ May 6, 2008 -> 02:45 AM) Deciding moment of the season right there. No, that was when we got a terrible performing player for one of the top pitchers available.
  9. Wait, so you're saying a guy with an OPS near .350 isn't a good hitter to have up in that situation?
  10. Wow, we deserve that. Worst series I've ever seen the Sox have.
  11. Thome can't do anything with a meatball on 3-1, and then rolls over on the full count.
  12. QUOTE (knightni @ May 6, 2008 -> 02:26 AM) Grounder, Ozuna quadruple-clutched, Stewart beat it out. He might be a negative 5 star player since his injury.
  13. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ May 6, 2008 -> 02:27 AM) It's obvious Guillen was leaving him out for the opportunity to finish the inning. Perhaps it was also because he didn't appear to show fatigue. With a bullpen relatively rested I would went to the bullpen after the first batter reached. We still have a long season and don't need to abuse Vazquez. Jenks should have started the 8th inning.
  14. QUOTE (Jenks Heat @ May 6, 2008 -> 02:26 AM) For the first time ever I believe Greg Walker should resign ASAP. This season is going down the drain ala the interleague schedule last season. Good post...I believe Walker said in the past he would resign if he felt he wasn't doing his job.
  15. Soto's impressing me a lot at the plate. He's showing good judgment of the zone, and he hits the ball with authority. It's amazing what HGH can do for a hitter!!
  16. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ May 6, 2008 -> 02:18 AM) Javy's f***ing locked in. No kidding, 95 mph gas?
  17. I want to give a huge thank you to our starters. During this miserable stretch, they have been very good and worked extremely fast. It's made the games at least somewhat tolerable.
  18. At least we'll be treated to a Thome vs Ryan match-up in the 9th.
  19. QUOTE (whitesoxmanager @ May 6, 2008 -> 01:14 AM) the only way to win is to bet against this s***. That's a great point...wish I had thought of that.
