Injuries happen, the Sox have had some significant ones to key pieces. What doesn’t happen is the consistent rushing of these players back to where they’re not effective and/or quickly hurt themselves again. It’s happened so much this year that I’m convinced webmd would have done a better job than the idiots in charge.
So many of them seemed nervous tonight. Lambert, in particular, seemed like the moment was too big for him. The relief effort tonight reminded me of the 2020 game 3 debacle
The only thing that could make it go worse is if Cease or Robert/Eloy/Vaughn suffer an injury that keeps them out for 2023. I agree with you though about more sizzle than steak.
Given the Guardians young players, farm system and superstars locked up, there’s no reason they won’t dominate the AL Central the next few years. I can’t believe how awesome they are at developing players.
Believe me, I hate Tony as much as anyone but the problems are so much greater than him. It’s the dumbest roster construction possibly in the history of baseball.
I still predict we see Tony back next year and Jerry sells the team after 2023. Hahn and Menechino will be the scape goats off the field and Giolito and Vaughn dealt away.
