  1. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 08:07 PM) And its not like they are freak injuries. I don't feel bad at all for the Sox getting burned by Podsednik. It was clear he wasn't healthy last season, yet we brought him back, and sure enough, but April 20th, the Sox were already dealing with injury timetables. The June timetable for Pods is quite a long time considering it's a muscle strain. The problem is, he'll come back and be tentative likely. We need to find a starting LF sooner rather than later.
  2. Thome's injury concerns me more. If this becomes an oblique injury, he could be effected for the rest of the year with the way he swings.
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 07:51 PM) I don't agree with the way Williams constructed this OF, and I expect more from this club. After the OF adventures we had last season(you were one of the Macks biggest critics), it should have been significantly upgraded. It wasn't. And these injuries are making our outfield go from bad to pathetic.
  4. I wonder if Dye hurt himself when he fouled that pitch off his leg in the Detroit series.
  5. Kinda worried about Dye's health also now. That is a horrific lineup, so I'm really hoping for a rainout tonight. QUOTE(Damen @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 07:26 PM) Wow. So here's an obvious question...why not put Anderson in the field? If we're stuck into having Ozuna, Anderson, Erstad, and Mack all starting, why don't we DH Ozuna, since he's by far the biggest liability in the OF. Anderson in Center, Erstad in Left, Mack in Right? What's the problem with that? It makes too much sense? It should be Anderson in LF, Erstad in CF if you go by what Ozzie says.
  6. I have a feeling the Sox would like for this game to not be played in order to rest our bullpen.
  7. Super! It was ugly, but we found a way to win. We need Danks to go at least 6 tomorrow....but it will likely rain.
  8. Very nice play by Crede....you could tell he had to watch his steps. Throw the hooks here Jenks!
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 05:19 AM) If it hit him in fair territory (even if it looked like it was heading foul, it would have been fair and the opposite would hold true as well). I'm 99% sure on that. How close was he to being in fair territory? And I agree, you can't judge where the ball will go. QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 05:19 AM) Remember that game in '05 where they choked vs. Cleveland on flyballs to left? I laughed and cried because Cle was only 2 back. Chip Ambres
  10. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 05:17 AM) If they stop it for the night, it would start in this exact same situation now right and they'd finish later. Tho at this point I imagine they'll try to do everything to get it in. I know they changed some of the rules for game suspensions this year.
  11. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 25, 2007 -> 05:17 AM) That wouldve hooked fair !! Seriously, how do they rule that?
  12. This is insane!!!! BTW, how do they rule on a ball that hits the ump like that?
  13. Yes sir!!!! You could see that coming a mile away. The ironic thing is that if that makes it up the middle, no way PK scores.
  14. Jenks will only come in if we have the lead.
  15. The thing that sucks is it's almost impossible to use Thome tonight.
  16. Iguchi's looked like a pitcher hitting so far tonight.
  17. Tough break on that grounder up the middle.
  18. Wow, nice pitch....bad AB. Let's get a run, and end this game.
