QUOTE(Dan @ Sep 9, 2006 -> 01:34 AM)
for the most part, he had a less than successful MLB career himself
That's true, but it doesn't mean he hasn't been around the game long enough to make a statement about a player not giving it his all.

Not very hard at all. It was a lazy, looping fly ball. His "great approach" isn't worth much when he's not yet ready for major league pitching.
Sweeney = a very good prospect who is nowhere near ready for the majors.
Our offense and defense would be much better if Anderson was in CF, and Gload was in LF.

it doesnt matter if you throw 100mph, if you cant hit your location, you cant pitch. he hasnt walked a guy in his last 4 starts.
Like they said, I was referring to junk as a junk ball pitcher.
The only part of Sweeney's game that worries me right now is that the ball doesn't "jump" off of his bat. He's hit a couple of balls that looked like he got them good, but they only went like 300 feet into the outfield. Nice swing by Uribe...bad luck.

Most of our hitters would have slowed down halfway to 1st.
It would have never happened....our guys wouldn't hit the ball hard the other way.
The Indians aren't done scoring, so it would really benefit the Sox to wake up the bats now, and not in the 6th or 7th inning. I'm eagerly anticipating Uribe trying to break out of his 20 AB hitless streak against a junk pitcher.

I haven't even thought about for what. Sorta just came to me, and I wanted to see what the opinion's were.
PK, Thome, Dye, Jenks and AJP are the 5 guys that I guarantee won't get traded this offseason.

For a good starting pitcher? I think he'd do it in a second. He almost traded Konerko for Washburn 2 or 3 years ago.
The dynamics surrounding PK have drastically changed since then. As someone just said, he's the face of the Sox.
