  1. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:45 AM) THOME!! Fianlly with the clutch hit! I'm surprised we didn't start a "where would he play" when he was out and Gload was hitting so good.
  2. WOW! Awesome...just awesome. We have to shut them down in the 9th. Pull Thome for Ozuna.
  3. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:44 AM) Didnt McClug basically win us the divison last year? I thought that was Dmitri Young.
  4. QUOTE(Greg Hibbard @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:43 AM) a serious playoff contender just cannot lose two games to KC at home, that's totally unacceptable It is...but the same goes with losing 7 of 9 to your closest WC contender.
  5. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:41 AM) It was never in doubt.
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:39 AM) Think we could arrange a collision between him and Mackowiak when Ozzie starts Mack in CF tomorrow? We can't root for injuries...just DL trips.
  7. HAHA!! You can only laugh. That got a "Get out of here" by fathom.
  8. Why isn't Gload or Mackowiak batting for Iguchi here? Iguchi is like 2 for his last 20, and one of those should have been an error.
  9. QUOTE(Cerbaho-WG @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:38 AM) Someone needs to break Pods' knees. He's worthless. I've been hoping for a DL trip for a long time now.
  10. Why in the world was Pods still in the game? Terrible, terrible managing by Ozzie.
  11. I can't believe Ozzie's going to let Pods bat again.
  12. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:32 AM) You know...that's a real good question. The one time in this game where I'd agree with going righty-lefty... How much you want to bet Mack PH's for Anderson. To be honest, I'd rather see Gload or Mackowiak for Anderson.
  13. Well...I'll take it. There's been some very strange bounces off of the wall down there.
  14. Why is Juan batting? We have some good lefties on the bench.
  15. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:28 AM) I have been impressed with Jon tonight. After the 1st, everyone, including him, knew he didnt have anything. However, with that, he made the adjustments he needed to, and battled. Personally, I think Tampa has "just missed" quite a few pitches that would have knocked him out around the 5th. And yes, it was impressive by Garland to only hold them to 4.
  16. It's a miracle that Garland hasn't given up 10 runs with the awful stuff he has on the mound. I'm worried (shocker) that Tampa will hit a homer this inning, and put the game out of reach.
  17. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:25 AM) I really can't remember the last time we have left THIS many people on. Its amazing. Third Yanks game after the ASB. Funny enough, that was another game where there was a lack of hustle on the field.
  18. QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Aug 31, 2006 -> 02:24 AM) no magic here we don't have it this year I won't even be disappointed if we lose because we sure don't deserve to win I can only remember one game in the last month or so that we came back to win in late innings (Yanks game).
  19. This is one of the ugliest performances I've seen by this team in a long time...and that's quite the accomplishment this year.
  20. This is pathetic all the way around. This game needs to be tied after this next batter.
