Jesse Rogers: Sox Sign Benintendi - 5yr / $75M
Lowe, not Madrigal.

Lowe would be a perfect fit to round out the lineup. Doubt it happens, but like seeing him suggested.

Yankees, Astros and Padres all wanted him. I take that as a good sign.

Me neither, can you imagine him on Romy trying to hit Guardians pitching?

He can’t take Madrigal, you already did

Jesse Rogers: Sox Sign Benintendi - 5yr / $75M
People are making him sound like he’s Podsednik at the plate. No reason to think he can’t hit 15-20 homers. Our lefty hitters have been so bad, but GRF is paradise for a lefty.

Really think they go internal

He has said before he doesn’t ask about specific personnel moves. If he’s hearing this, it seems legit.

And then I remember the Sox got too aggressive and he threw someone out easily at home. He always seemed to get good jumps when the Sox played him.

He’s been proven right time after time. He had the Lonzo injury stuff way before anyone else.

2023 MLB offseason signings and rumors thread
That seems like a terrible deal for the A’s. The more deals that are signed, the better the Clevinger deal looks.

Yankees and Astros have been linked to him

Sox working on signing a LF
So I would then also assume in true Sox fashion all three outfielders won’t stay healthy all year and then will get 10-20 more homers from their bench. A quick search by me confirms 50 from the starting 3 would be at least average, if not more. Team like the Guardians, Red Sox and Tigers got an embarrassing low total from their outfielders.

I assume you’re looking at outfield totals and not starting LF/CF/RF

No reason to think those three couldn’t combine for 50 homers. You would think that would be average around the majors.

Sox working on signing a LF
How is Jansen mediocre? Huge power last year. 15 homers in 248 at bats last year makes him look like Mike Piazza on the Sox.

An outfield of Benintendi, Robert and Colas should be sufficient power wise. Not great, but good enough.

Sox also need lefty hitters that can get on base against tough RHP. I’m not as concerned about getting power from LF.

Yep, makes sense. I’m surprised at how much value people think Hendriks has.

4/68 my guess

His power wasn’t awful until last year. He would be hitting at a much smaller park (KC to CWS). He was always the guy that you had to wonder if the Sox would go after, as they LOVED him in the draft and the Grifol connection.
