  1. Mercy....Thome just destroys sinker ball pitchers.
  2. Encarnacion is, and has always been, a terrible outfielder. This is amazing though. Keep it going!
  3. This game reminds me of the Reds game from last Friday night.
  4. I like the hit-and-run call with Uribe at the plate. It makes him stay on the ball a little longer.
  5. Time to pick Luna off. 82 mph fastballs down the plate aren't going to fool anyone.
  6. Buehrle's getting a ton of the plate so far.
  7. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jun 22, 2006 -> 12:17 AM) Thome is JUSTTTTT missing these. He could have 25+ with some of the balls he has hit the last week... The camera angle made it look like Encarnacion caught that.
  8. Pods?! It's too early to play small ball...let our big guys swing away.
  9. I hope Buehrle remembers he's pitching for the White Sox tonight. Taguchi's not going to hit a ball longer than that.
  10. Montero will be back in Charlotte's bullpen by this wknd.
  11. Looking back, it's amazing that we pitched Montero in the 8th inning against the Tigers in a very close game.
  12. Um....where the f*** is Garland? Can we not get him an at-bat?
  13. Cotts looks about 10 pounds lighter with that haircut.
  14. Pablo's Diablos? Not bad
  15. QUOTE(tigerfan @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 02:52 AM) Yes I do think that. I don't see why Larussa would yell at Ponson if he had hit either guy on purpose. Or Ponson hit him on purpose, even though LaRussa didn't order it? I honestly think the last thing LaRussa wanted against Ozzie's team was a bean ball war.
  16. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 02:51 AM) Why are you pushing it, why not just talk baseball. Do you really think Anderson wasn't drilled on purpose? His team won big tonight, and the Sox are up 18. The real question I have for him is why is he even following the Sox game after the 3rd inning? Go watch the NBA game, or go get a slurpee.
  17. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 02:42 AM) I would've preferred Montero do it, but oh well ... This is purely a theory, but maybe Ozzie did this in order to get Riske some cred with his new teammates?
  18. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 02:40 AM) What ever happened to the Soxtalk policy of attacking players? I thought the policy was named after the Cardinals current RF?
  19. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 02:39 AM) So why did LaRussa tell Ponson it was "bulls***?" I wrote that before I saw the LaRussa clip. I honestly don't think he meant to do it, but LaRussa knows you can't be doing s*** like that. I give a lot of credit to each manager tonight for their actions.
  20. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 02:37 AM) Jesus what lunacy. Up 17 runs and we are risking suspensions, WTF! Yeah, how dare we lose the number 5 arm in our bullpen for 5 games or so. After the Rangers situation, you had to know something like this was going to happen. I'm not an advocate for that type of thing, but I think this was the perfect situation.
  21. Welcome to the club Riske! If you're going to do it, that's the perfect scenario.
  22. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 02:26 AM) catch knew it was coming... sidenote: Javier has 97 pitches... Bennett was setting up inside for the fastball. Judging by LaRussa's reaction, if Ponson did mean to hit those guys intentionally, the catcher wasn't in on it.
  23. Lets get Dye out of the game for Mack
