QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 04:02 AM) :rolly Trust me, there's no one that likes Uribe's defense more than I do. However, he's been a step slow going up the middle all season. It's been negated due to the fact that Crede's range has been better than ever to his left, and Iguchi's range seems about twice as much as it was last season.
-
Uribe's range is down right now. There's been a few plays lately where he seemed a step slow. His inability to field Bettancourt's grounder on Monday night in the 7th might have cost us the game.

"First down"? Well done DJ :rolly

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:58 AM) Not our night tonight. BTW, even before this series started, would anyone be dissipointed with a 3-3 road trip with the M's and LAAA? Nope, that would be fine. A 2-1 showing in Anaheim with our two worst pitchers going it's going to be difficult though.

QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:55 AM) Great, Pods decides to take a 2-2 curveball, but when it's 3-1 he's swinging at high pitches. For someone with no power, it's amazing how poor of a job he does protecting the plate with 2 strikes. With someone like Thome, it's understandable. However, Pods needs to be cutting and slashing with 2 strikes.
-
Pods with some poor ABs tonight.
-
Did the announcers really say that Anderson has a compact swing? That's like saying Kerry Wood has good mechanics.
-
QUOTE(Allsox @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:49 AM) Not Widge's fault tonight that Buehrle left two pitches up. Trust me, I'm not just talking about tonight.
-
QUOTE(greg775 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:45 AM) Is anybody on here a Widger fan? Please convert me. I've never been high on the guy. I thought he was very good last year. However, his swing is way too long right now, and his game-calling has sucked. He's still better than most backup catchers.
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:44 AM) No no, it was different this time. He looked like he had a limp/'giddy up' to it. Well....I know some will disagree, but I think PK needs a day off over this wknd series. Let Gload get a start at 1b sometime this wknd. However, when we bench someone like PK.....please play the rest of the starters.
-
The disappointing thing is that this was the perfect umpire to have when facing Washburn. He won't call a high strike no matter what.
-
That was absolutely pathetic by Widger. I love the uppercut swing.
-
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:41 AM) Is Paulie running OK? Looked kinda funny getting from 2nd to 3rd and then again from 3rd to home. He always looks hurt when he runs. It's what happens when you have concrete spikes.
-
QUOTE(whitesoxfan13 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:41 AM) Widger needs to drive in Dye here. This should be AJP batting....but Ozzie doesn't like to sub out his catcher.
-
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:40 AM) PRODUCTIVE OUTS! They will get us back in the game It's amazing how when these guys made Washburn get the ball down in the zone, they hit him hard.
-
Biggest play of the game.

QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:34 AM) This is our SECOND time scoring under 4 runs (if it stays this way) since the first week of the f***ing season. Both times were against Sox nemesis in this spacious ballpark. I think people wouldn't be quite as upset if they felt like we didn't give away the first game of this series. In all honesty, I'm not concerned about this Seattle series. However, we have 5 games coming up against tough pitchers.
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:28 AM) We're all spoiled. I'll definitely agree with this. This is the first time in seemingly two weeks where we won't have a nice 9-1 record in our last 10 games.
-
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:27 AM) This offensive showing tonight is pathetic. I'll use this line every occasion we're shut down by a pitcher--if you can battle off Santana, you should be able to battle off ANYONE. What I've seen tonight from our hitters is pathetic. Watch Washburn's next three starts go something like this: 7IP/4ER, 8IP/3ER, 6IP/5ER. Nice going Buehrle. Way to step up. This seems like one of those games where everyone was just flat. It happens to even the best teams. Buehrle's been up in the zone the entire game it seems. I hope Cintron sees some time at SS against the Angels, as Uribe looks awful (against anyone not named Silva).
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:25 AM) U G L Y We got some time, but not looking good, at all. You could see this coming after the first 2 innings. Our players had long swings going, and Washburn had great command.
-
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:25 AM) We are obviously not going to get s*** off Washburn. Hopefully the bullpen is as bad as yesterday. He's not going to need the bullpen. He'll go 120 pitches if he has a shutout still.
-
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:23 AM) Thome K's This offense has no chance tonight, f***ing Christ Nope...our only chance was with Dye and Crede up with two men on base.
-
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:21 AM) It looked well in the zone on GameDay. It was definitely up. The ump had called a few similar pitches ball in the AB.
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 27, 2006 -> 03:19 AM) LOL. It was sarcasm. Didn't think I had to bother with the green. Trust us when I say that everyone on this site knew it was sarcasm to the 1,000,000th degree.

Way to chase ball four Pods
