  1. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 02:24 AM) Funny how that works, huh. Logan looked good as well. 2.45 ERA woohoo For the record, I was busy at work, and couldn't post after the 5th inning.
  2. I miss the days of Timo leading off and Carl batting 3rd.
  3. Is it too much to ask for an uneventful 5th inning?
  4. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 01:09 AM) At least he still has the shutout!! If Mientkiewicz leads off next inning with a homer, you ought to be suspended for a week.
  5. QUOTE(T R U @ Apr 18, 2006 -> 01:05 AM) Well it was before Grudz doubled I was going to give you one of these :finger until I saw that your favorite moment was when the Sox traded for Parkman. Any Major League 2 reference gives you a break in my book.
  6. QUOTE(shoota @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 03:46 PM) I'm willing to give Anderson a little more time because of his defense, but how come he can't be good right away like Matt Murton. That guy doesn't swing at garbage and didn't need a learning curve. Murton's approach is great at the plate. He has an incredible short swing, and hits to all fields. He looks like a 10 year veteran compared to Anderson.
  7. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 04:04 AM) From top to bottom, this division is MUCH tougher then it was last year. KC is not a team that you can kick the s*** out of, they will battle you. Detroit is much improved. Cleveland may have regressed slightly, but they will battle you as well. Oh, and by the way, there's this team from Minnesota that will kick and claw their way through the division as well. The Twins are significantly better, in my opinion. The additions of Castillo and Liriano to the roster, as well as getting rid of the free-swinging Jones will help their consistency.
  8. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 17, 2006 -> 04:04 AM) It's a giant slip n slide though. For all we know Mark has one at home and does this every day. Yeah....but there's not a giant mound in the middle of Buehrle's yard (at least I don't think). All it takes is one time for Buehrle to not correct judge where the bases are, and he could easily bust his shoulder. I love Buerhle's enthusiasm, but I can see why the Sox brass would put a stop to it.
  9. This was a very good week for the Sox, as they went 5-1 against two of the best hitting teams in baseball. Right now, our 3-4-5 looks exceptional. The 5-1 is even more impressive given the fact that we didn't have a single hit from our center fielders all week.
  10. What an amazing complete game by Garcia. In all seriousness, the top of the 5th took so long, the field was probably unplayable after that inning.
  11. QUOTE(Linnwood @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:32 PM) So what are the odds of them calling this game? I can't remember the last time we won due to a game being called when it was official. I'm still annoyed we lost that game at Wrigley a few years ago.
  12. As my brother said "during the Sox games, the rain delay programming is Fresh Prince.....when the Cubs are delayed, it's Will and Grace".
  13. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:27 PM) So it's probably a good time to be throwing a bunch of breaking balls, right? That was disgusting. Actually, when you're pitching in the rain, it's probably the easiest position to play.
  14. QUOTE(allupons @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:25 PM) That was quite possibly the most frustrating inning of baseball I have ever watched. It's the third most frustrating inning in the last 9 days.
  15. What does the radar look like for the rest of the day.
  16. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:23 PM) Did you say that before or after the replay? Before. My first impression was that he tried to rush it to get the force at 2nd base.
  17. What's the f***ing rush by Iguchi? He has the slowest runner in baseball at the plate. Anyways, this is a joke. These guys shouldn't be on the field.
  18. With the puddles already on the field, this might be the last batter of the game.
  19. Keep letting him go Ozzie. Who cares about the lead.
  20. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) Hi. Hello
  21. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 16, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) We wondered where you were. Glad to see you're okay. What did he say that's wrong? I know you hate him not being positive, but this is a bad inning.
  22. Our pitchers, for the most part, have lacked any killer instinct this year. Ozzie's too busy trying to get them wins instead of doing what's best to win the game.
  23. Any real possibility of a rain out? With a 5 run lead, I'd love to see this game continue today. I hope Ozzie is smart though with Garcia. No reason to have him go back on the mound if the delay last longer than an hour or so.
  24. Just one more thing....I think the 2 home run game against Felix raised his expectations with many fans to unreasonable levels.
