QUOTE(TitoMB345 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 06:40 PM) Examples please? I sure hope he's being sarcastic.
-
If Thome connects on one of AJB's fastballs, it's going to go onto the concourse.

QUOTE(rventura23 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 06:36 PM) I didnt realize Rios had so much power, 4 HR this seasons and in BP yesterday he was hitting serious bombs. He's finally starting to pull the ball now. Last year, he was an opposite field hitter. The ball sure does fly off of his bat though.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 06:31 PM) Jesus Christ this ump sucks. Um....he did basically give us 2 runs. That Thome pitch was a very bad call....but I'll take it!

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:24 PM) Zero? I think there's some, just not a lot. I mean, look at Konerko. He was offered less money here, but came back. And even he has said he wouldn't have been coming back if we didn't offer the extra year on the deal. I think the poster was referring to no loyalty by teams to their players.

QUOTE(chisoxt @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 01:03 PM) I think that I noticed his problem in general...While he has great stuff, he seems to more of a thrower than a pitcher in that on rare instances does he ever pitch inside. Last night, on an outside pitch, Troy Glaus hit an opposite field run-scoring double, that in my opinion, changed the momentum of the game. Hawk was commenting on how filfthy the pitch was and how you had to give Glaus credit. This may be true, but there was no way that Glaus could have gotten to that pitch had Vasquez done a better job with his locations of the previous pitches, which were away, away and away. The Glaus AB was similar to the Sweeney/Politte AB from last wknd. Vazquez had thrown like 4 straight fastballs on the outside corner to Glaus. Thus...it was much easier for Glaus to be expecting that pitch in that location. Our pitchers have got to get back to throwing inside again.

QUOTE(SIU SOX @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 04:03 AM) what time does the batting practice begin When do we go to our bullpen?
-
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 03:53 AM) LOB-28 28 men left on base. Not a good night for Anderson. How many LOB for the rest of the team. In all honesty, this was the worst individual Sox performance by a player since Willie Harris vs the A's right before the ASB last season.
-
Anderson has got to get the bat away from his body. He's so tight at the plate right now, and he's getting no extension on his swing.
-
I'm liking this pitcher.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 03:42 AM) I've been impressed with Crede. He seems to be grabbing some of the momentum he had at the end of the year. Yep, he's been hitting the ball very hard so far this year. Of course....the key for him is being consistent.
-
Hey Ozzie....this is the perfect time for Gload to bat.
-
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 03:41 AM) That'll be difficult because it's been forever since I've seen you focus on anything f***ing positive. Coming from me, this probably means nothing. However, jabs is positive in the chats.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 03:38 AM) Hopfully, this is just a bad game for everyone and it doesn't happen again. Didn't you post this last Friday?

Sign #50 that this isn't 2005 anymore.....Cotts has allowed more homers this year than he did all of last year.
-
Quick trivia....which pitcher is about to start the year 4-0?
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 03:12 AM) Oakland's pitching staff is getting rocked the last 4 days. Not really having anything to do with us. Weird pitching start ot the year. Further, nice to see Cleveland looking like crap the last 3 games. While it's nice to see Cleveland look bad, the Twins have looked real strong. Once they put Liriano into the rotation, they're as good as anyone in the AL.
-
We've given up 37 hits in the last 17 innings.
-
QUOTE(Purdue129 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 03:10 AM) That and Anderson's ABs are what hurt us, not Cliff. Well....Cliff's sucktitude didn't help our chances.
-
Well....our worst fears about Politte being washed up look to be right on so far. If he continues to throw batting practice, our bullpen is really f***ed.
-
Nice awareness by Widger. Shea didn't touch home....and Widger didn't bother going back to tag him. Hey Ozzie....GET POLITTE'S ASS OUT OF THERE! All you're doing is f***ing with his confidence.
-
This Blue Jays lineup is going to give us trouble all year. Guys like Cat, Zaun, Adams, and Glaus have always given us trouble. You have a superstar in Wells, and a very solid hitter in Overbay....and I don't like our chances vs them.
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 03:04 AM) If it continues for awhile, I would imagine he'd just switch Cliff and Bmac. That wouldn't work out, because Cliff would still have to pitch a good amount. And I also think that Ozzie already has made that move.
-
Kenny Williams....we're going to need another righty in the bullpen.
-
QUOTE(jphat007 @ Apr 15, 2006 -> 03:00 AM) Well. It's something. The number of runs scored in early April is pretty staggering. Look around baseball. Every pitcher is 2 or 3 mph slower this year. Also, I've never seen so many no-name relievers on teams. I consider myself a knowledgable baseball person, and I haven't heard of about 20 pct of the relievers in the majors.
