  1. When it's this windy out, USE TWO f***ING HANDS! And jpaht....Ozuna would have been out there even if Pods was healthy.
  2. HERE'S AN IDEA: GET ANOTHER OUTFIELDER ON THE ROSTER!
  3. Garland looking just awful on these last two batters. Why do we always do this against the Royals? Pablo....this game is on you now!
  4. Great sequence by Garland. Berroa's a big out in this game here.
  5. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 01:19 AM) Somewhere Ross Gload is laughing. And I'm not. I still have no clue why he's on the roster.
  6. We have a terrible history of letting the Royals sneak back into games when we had a big lead on them last season.
  7. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 01:17 AM) Ozuna should not be playing the outfield. Brutal. It's amazing that they didn't learn this last season.
  8. And that's why Ozuna should never be in the outfield! That's f***ing pathetic.
  9. 0-2 fastball to one of the best fastball hitters in baseball? Not a very smart pitch call there.
  10. Garland needs to keep the damage to a minimum this inning.
  11. Good inning by Garland. Kinda funny how Sweeney almost homers on an inside fastball after Hawk kept saying that's how to pitch him.
  12. I thought Widger got that one.
  13. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 12:20 AM) So yeah...you guys who were complaining about this lineup... Hell I just hope Garland isn't too cold after this inning. After my initial shock at seeing the lineup, I altered my opinion that I liked it better than our regular lineup, besides for Mackowiak in RF. At this point, Ozuna is a better leadoff option than Pods.
  14. QUOTE(Ndgt10 @ Apr 8, 2006 -> 12:18 AM) Nice camera work on the kong double I know I'm the pessmistic one, but I thought the LF caught that ball.
  15. Iguchi's AB set up this whole inning. He showed a lot of patience on some pitches that he had trouble with at the end of the year.
  16. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 10:34 PM) The season isn't won or lost, but what I was getting at was the players goal is to win series. Cleveland winning the series was a huge boost to their mental being. The Sox had a ton of distractions, so really its no skin off their back. I was saying if Cleveland lost it may become a situation like the Sox and Minnesota a couple of years ago when the Sox just couldn't beat them. What was the Cleveland vs. White Sox head to head last year? I think the vital thing, from a Cleveland point of view, was being able to win a one-run game vs the Sox.
  17. The game reminded me of game 3 vs the Indians last year, where Ozzie went away from the hot pitcher (Hermanson/McCarthy) and instead played by the book (bringing closer Shingo/lefty match-up vs Logan). Hopefully Ozzie learns from this game like he did from last year's debacle of a game 3.
  18. QUOTE(JimH @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 10:18 PM) I don't think Cleveland is the type of team that'd get demoralized with the season just three games in. It amazes me how much stock people seem to put in the first couple of games of the season. The season isn't won or loss due to one poorly executed game on the first Wednesday of the season.
  19. Besides for having Mackowiak in RF, I actually like this lineup better than what our regular lineup would have been.
  20. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 09:59 PM) If he has so little confidence in Jenks in the ninth, that he can't use his primary left handed set-up man in the 8th, there is a huge problem. As I said a few days ago, if we're saving Cotts to pitch in the 9th inning, we're going to have a lot of blown saves from our lefties not named Neal. I don't understand's Ozzie reasoning for using Logan that he gave in the press. He said Logan had been warming up, and he didn't want to have to sit him down (since he'd be unable to go the rest of the game if he cooled off). Relievers have got to have the ability to get loose and then cool off, etc. It happens all the time, and I'd like to think that Logan isn't that fragile.

QUOTE(SAC @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 09:07 PM) Dam I hope he is going to be OK he is on my Fantasy Team. I hope he is going to be OK he is the White Sox best outfielder... BY FAR!
  22. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 08:57 PM) Bat the Widge cleanup. He might be our most dangerous hitter vs lefties.
  23. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 08:54 PM) I've made it a point this year not to question Ozzie. But wtf? What else can he really do? Dye is injured, Pods is struggling, and we lack righties on the bench. For the 4th game of the season, this is a disappointing lineup. We better hope PK comes to play today.
  24. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Apr 7, 2006 -> 08:50 PM) Ozuna, LF Iguchi, 2B Thome, DH PK, 1B Crede, 3B Uribe, SS Widger, C Mackowiak, RF Anderson, CF Garland, SP Yuck! Isn't Gload a fairly solid hitter against lefties? Man, I really wish we had a righty outfielder on the bench.
